Why can't we fly airbuses in career?

I unlocked the jet ATPL recently and I’m curious as to why it only lets me fly the 737 max, when the a320, a321, and a330 are also in the game. Quite unfortunate since I prefer the quality of the airbuses in the game over it at the moment and really love the A321LR.

At least one airbus should be available

i think they want to trickle the plane in the career in a slow fashion.

Because the supposed biggest selling point of 2024 - the career mode is far from finished, not even deserve to be called an early beta, I would say it is still in the alpha stage.

i see but there is a cargo level that unlocks 0 planes? strange

Even when it unlocks a plane, if you have the premium edition, there are no missions for it.
Same for VIP charter, etc…

Has anyone heard anything about the extra career aircraft?

I’ld love to have Airbus family in career mode. Both on pax and cargo missions. But i really don’t understand WHY they not enable it!!

It as simpler as it seems… They already have the airplanes IN THE GAME!

Just put a price on it, and enable it for missions in career mode… both a330 for pax and cargo and the a320 family…

I don’t think it’s as easy as clicking a few buttons on their end and like magic it’s now available in career. I don’t know why they limited the planes available in career but I’m sure they have a reason, even if that reason is it wasn’t finished when released

Tell me your honest feedback on this…
they where asked specifically about heavy cargo missions. They not answer the question, skipped it and thought it was about the super heavy (Beluga aircraft).

The impression they gave me is that they don’t have a clue on whats going on in career mode…
Can I be wrong? I HOPE. Bcse is really disappointing to buy a game and it looks genericly made by AI and not polished at all. You check the upcoming updates and there is nothing about career other them some small hotfixes for bugs…

ok so they misunderstood the question, Doesn’t mean they’re not working on it and there are more important things to fix first. They did this to themselves so I don’t feel bad that they’re barely treading water when it comes to the sim and its current state

I’ld find reasonable the “they’re not working on it and there are more important things to fix first.” If the game was an alpha or early access…

This is really frustrating when you pay for a full released game…
Problem is that we not see any words about it in the future SU’s or to keep up the hope, in the video that they were asked, not answer and skipped it…
The current state of the game is a reflex of this mess…

True but what would happen if they said there would be progress in SU2 but then when SU1 was released there was a flood of new issues? Then airbuses in career mode would probably be pushed back making people more upset that they were lied too.

If they don’t say anything they can’t be held to anything, I hope they get more planes implemented into career mode, especially 3rd party (I want to fly the FBW A320 for career).

The fact that they do these regular live Q&A’s to keep us at least in the loop is great, very few other dev companies do that. Most would be lucky to get a tweet about an issue rather than an hour long live stream.

I don’t fly airliners in career because I don’t like the default airliners, they may be good but I prefer the 3rd party planes. So for now I’m happy flying VIP missions until it’s better.

At the end of the day it’s just a game. And frankly for the amount of flying I’ve done in the past 5ish months the cost of the sim is by far one of the cheapest forms of entertainment I have.

My guess is that iniBuilds using its own custom fuel management is one of the bigger blockers here. In order to be used in Career, it’s pretty apparent that you need to be able to purchase and manage fuel through the default means, but iniBuilds aircraft are not (currently) compatible with this. I would imagine that might be a relatively extensive overhaul to their systems.

A little less significant, but I think still important, is the lack of support for Send to Avionics from the EFB - this should be a requirement for Career compatibility (though I think on paper it’s not, per the SDK) and the iniBuilds systems are also not (currently) compatible with this feature.

Not necessarily true, you can bind the “ADD FUEL” command and add fuel once you’ve started the flight. You can load in with 1/4 tank and take off with full tanks without using the career fuel management mechanic

Most developers have a back and forth with their clients - it isn’t unique to them. The issue is that they haven’t presented any roadmap for when anything is going to happen. I get it, they don’t want to say they will do something but not hit the target, yet it’s just as bad to not have a plan as people don’t know what to expect. The career mode is a disaster. You can only use a small, limited set of planes from the actual purchase of the game. This isn’t a “beta” game. It is full retail. I know they’ve had to own up to the state of things, but it doesn’t absolve them from the situation as it is. There is also no presentation for when or how 3rd party planes will be incorporated. They could talk about what SDK support they’ve provided 3rd party developers to incorporate their stuff into career mode, etc… So absent that, we are left to fill the void with questions or frustrations. To be clear, there probably is no winning here, just don’t be annoyed when people ask questions due to the void that currently exists.

Honestly that seems like a glitch that will eventually be fixed. Part of the career mechanic is to spend your earned money on fuel, so to openly include an aircraft where you can’t do that mechanic at all seems strange.

Don’t get it wrong, I’m upset with the state of the game… And I’ve been in a lot of threads talking about how broken this game is and how it seems like they aren’t trying.

And I agree that even saying “yes we want to Implement more aircraft/scenarios into career including 3rd party aircraft but we don’t have a time line for that” at least then we’d know it’s on the list but not a priority. But if they say that, people will continue to be upset either way, and the upset ones are always the loudest especially online. Making it seem like a much larger issue than it actually is. I see a lot of threads about VR even though it makes up about 10% of the active players.

Hopefully if it’s “fixed” it’s after they fix all the aircraft with fuel issues, mainly the PC24. But it would be worse for them to disable it in career mode while planes don’t consume the correct amount of fuel and cannot meet their published range

Agreed - fix the thing you need the workaround for and THEN you can fix the workaround, 100%.
