Brief description of the issue:
can someone explain why the sim sits on the splash screen for around 6-minutes on start up of the sim? It doesnāt appear to be doing anything just sat there on the screen in the image below.

Iām on a wired 1GB cabled connection direct to the router with gigabit fibre (980 down / 110 up) and sub 10ms latency.
I clear the cache weekly and have recently done so. Iāve also uninstalled all WUs for places I donāt fly (basically now just UK and Europe WUs installed) along with a load of 3rd party airfields and aircraft in the hope that would speed things up but it still just sits there for ages on my Series X.
It sounds like you have already covered the basics in that case.
Is it possible to reset the XBox at all, without losing your content? Other than that I think you probably need to hope for a response from the ticket you raised.
I donāt know if you have the option like on PC, but is there any way you can verify the integrity of the game files, and repair if required?
If not, I suppose you could try deleting and reinstalling it as a last resort. I donāt really think that ever fixes anything on a pc, as the majority of problems are caused by settings somewhere or addons, but I presume that canāt be the case on the XBox. You have a decent connection though, so hopefully it wonāt be too painful!
My personal opinion would be that it is the way the sim works.
It takes a while to boot up on a lot of systems (including mine, and I donāt use the rolling cache).
Could it be improved?
Sure, that would really be nice!
But I donāt think there is any bug involved.
I would call it more of a wishlist item than bug.

Only about 30sec for me.
Whats your computer specs
Processor Intel(R) Coreā¢ i9 13900K CPU
Video card MSI Supreme 4090 water cooled
Installed RAM 128 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
WD Black SN850P 4 TB 4x4 NVMe
These are my specs and it takes about 8 to 10 minutes from the time I click start in Steam, till Im at the main menu. Also during the load up it can temporarily become unresponsive but continues loading after that. I have about 160 add ons in my community folder. Could be that contributing to load time.
might be some clarification needed here by the OP - you say the āsplash screenā stays up for around 6 minutes - for me it only displays for 10 seconds or so. But that isnāt the end of the āStart-upā time it takes from clicking on the MSFS icon until the simulator Menu is available to use. For me that takes around 12-17 minutes total time.
If the complaint is about the total time it takes to open MSFS for use - ok - But it is a massive and complex program with a ton of data to transfer and connect.
I just timed my startup. Numbers in seconds:
Splash & sign-in screens: 5. Running total (RT): 5
Launching: 10. RT: 15
Check for Updates: 12. RT: 27
Nordic World Update ā New Activities: 137. RT: 154
Welcome Screen opens. Total time: 2 minutes 34 seconds.
During the Nordic World Update ā New Activities phase the sim is loading a bunch of files from my HDD, which is between 85 - 100% active during this time. If I had MSFS on a SSD, Iād expect this time to be a lot less.
Note too that I just have the vanilla standard 40th Aniv. edition - no 3rd-party or community addons.
For clarification, the screenshot I posted of the aircraft heading to āhole mountainā appears when I press MSFS2020 launch icon on the Xbox Home Screen. This the stays on the screen with no apparent activity for around 6-mins (I will time it exactly later). Then the asobo logo splash and black shark splash appear followed by the press any key to start screen, then it checks for updates (10 seconds ish) then loads up the sim (will time it later but I think that is maybe 2 mins)
I am running the stock sim, but do have a number of 3rd party Marketplace addons (aircraft/airports/scenery) however, I currently only have World Updates installed for UK and Europe areas plus New Zealand (only places I fly)
I have noticed that on my previous version of NVidia driver - My start up time was ridiculously long. Some times in excess of 5-10 mins just to get on to home screen, then followed by another 5 mins or so to get into flight.
The latest driver NVidia has solved this problem for me - which cuts the time down to around 2 mins or so. Still long but I guess it is down to my system as well which is showing its age.
Mine currently is 6 mins but my community is 679 addons and 171 GB
i know if i reduce that it gets quicker.
To be honest i donāt consider 5 mins to be excessively long for what is being loaded unless maybe i was an inpatient person
