sure there has. every sim generation has been revolutionary.
everyone has always been able to fly vfr and it’s always been breathtaking. just like the next generation will blow MSFS out of the water visually. you wont be able to say “nobody has ever been able to fly visually like this before” with msfs 2035.
this is just the newest thing. it will grow old as well.
We were explicitly told during the Beta it wasn’t supported. I’ll trust that over some guy on Reddit.
The promise was “every airport in the worls” The reality: the 6th biggest Airport in Germany is missing: Stuttgart.

Am simply amazed at the negativity. I’ve been flying simulators since FS98, upgraded to each new release, then to P3D. I can understand people’s problems with bugs, glitches – have found a few myself – but these are early days. MSFS2020 seems to me nothing less than a quantum leap from everything we’ve seen before.

I so agree with you…as for myself, MSFS is the best thing EVER since I got into flight simming in 1984. It’s only going to get better and better as updates and release hotfixes get sent out.
After spending more than 100$ on the game, I do a LFBD-LFRZ flight in my Cessna 208B and 10 minutes before arriving, the program closes? Do you understand negativity?

Flew for three hours at Ultra on an 8 year old spec system…gears up, to gears down…WONDERUFL…no CTD’s…just the best epic visuals I have ever seen…Do you understand Grand Enthusiasm?

So totally agree…the visuals, I have been waiting all my life to see…and it’s now arrived! So impressed! Dead smooth right down to as low as 17 FPS…no sim before on my system could achieve that…
Totally thumb’s up, Dev’s…oh…and sure there are some bugs…but I’m sure you will swat them ASAP.

I believe that your System memory reserve tanked out…and that caused the CTD. That can happen. You might have a memory leak going on with any other background app running in memory. Something to check on…and can be fixed. Again, it sounds to me…at that late time interval in your flight, that you exhausted system resources.
My experience has been superb. I have at least an 8 year old computer spec…and in my flight, with setting mostly Ultra…I had with some heavy weather and scud…an FPS at a point of flight, drop to 17 FPS…but at no time ever…did I see one halter…stutter…or interruption of smooth animation. That is a first! I know now that no matter what ever is morphing in weather on my system at Ultra…I can turn off the FPS meter…and just fly…it will remain smooth and believable.
Elite Soap…run the in-game FPS meter had through the DEV menu…and at the bottom you will see two readings…one for CPU, and the other for GPU. The CPU reading will show exactly how much the sim is loading into your particular MEM ammount…and the GPU will also show the same for your max Vid GB’s… Take the same flight if you can…and keep monitoring those figures. Write down the mean average of the CPU figure…to keep as a reference…and at any time you see that the usage and in-load is climbing towards your full GB limit (remembering that W10 consumed about and reserves 3 GB’s partitioned for itself!) then you know you have a in-memory footprint issue…and you only need to figure out the cause…and rectify it. Cheers!
The fact that they are still actively enforcing the alpha/beta NDA is telling. They don’t want people talking about things that have been broken and reported for the entire time that the game has existed. Asobo/Microsoft is handling this like the joke of a company that they are.
I just want to add that I would be perfectly happy if they had sold me this game as “early access”, because that is exactly what it is. The game is objectively unfinished and they should be ashamed of themselves for selling it to us as a finished product. It should have been released next spring or summer at the EARLIEST.

I think some people are complaining because of the way products are introduced to the market. Beautiful views, or in other words, just the good side, have been promoted by a year and obviously, that did not included any bad thing. So Expectations for most of the community were really high.
When it came available there was a situation of expectations versus reality and this leads to some frustration if expectations are not met. This is the so called Cognitive Disruption and it it’s well known human behavior.
So, I think MS and Asobo should listen to the complaints and separate what is important and demanded by the Community and speed up the fixes ASAP.
Nevertheless, I admit I’ve had the impression I’ve bought an unfinished product, with lack of documentation, lot’s of non intuitive configuration, and some lack of refinements here and there in mesh terrain and the certain autogenerated cities.
It’s a lovely product. But it sure needs some work.
I requested a refund… funny topic ask a question WHY ARE PEOPLE UNHAPPY then troll,insult the people answering the question…and this right here confirms IT’S BROKEN and why My stick does not work but they locked the files so If your on the xbox platform you can’t fix it.

I agree with you…lots of bugs…KFNT’s (Flint Bishop) main terminal building is non existent…with the jetways just sitting out in the air, attached to NOTHING…I thought it was just one glitch in my flight time…but in three usage sessions, the terminal building obviously has not been programmed and/or inserted in that scenery, to appear at that airport. Again…if any Dev is reading this…it is KFNT…(Billy Bishop/Flint) out of Michigan.USA. No visible TERMINAL BUILDING.
If you read this post…do me a favor, please…and go to KNFT, and taxi to the ONE terminal building that should be there. Let me know if you only see all the Jetways, sitting there, but attached to no main terminal building. That would tell me for sure, that it is not anything at my end…
The only thing I can imagine why there is so much negativity.
- The happy part is flying.
- These people are unhappy in their IRL. This piece of software by no means justify all the moaning I see here. I think these unhappy people are trying to find a holy grail of whatever it is that will make them happy and every time they are hoping to get it with the new shiny thing on the horizon. But then realize they’ll be just as unhappy as before. It is because the trees are too tall, they think the flight model is off for planes they never flew, there is a missing building at one location of the freaking planet, always think people are out for a money grab and trying to scam them, screaming in caps all over the place etc etc. It’s absurd. I hope by releasing their frustration here it helps them cope with life a little bit better, it helps me explain it.

People are moaning because “this piece of software” is something that we paid £60-120 for and there are bits missing, and for some of us, it just doesn’t work properly. That’s why.

en fait pour un jeu qui me coûte 180$, Je ne m’attendait pas que le jeu ne s’installerait pas. J’ai passé tellement de temps à essayer tout les solutions émissent et possibles. Plusieurs fois la réinstallation et plusieurs fois revalider tout les updates…
ce n’est pas normal que le jeu ne fonctionne pas.
tout les autres simulateur de haute catégorie fonctionne sans problème.
