ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Hello, I’m trying to get the ‘Multifaceted Photography’ achievement. If I complete the ‘Savanna Safari’ Collection, it will be acquired. But I recognized it’s too hard to encounter some of the animals. I found Giraffe, Zebra, African Buffalo, and Hippopotamus at Ngorongoro Crater. But I can’t find African bush Elephants, Lions, White rhinos, ostriches, Cheetahs, Hyena, Warthog, and Forest elephants. There are no clues to find them.

I wasted over 5 hours on this, and there are many other people like me.

Now there is only one person who got this achievement in this world. Only a single gamer was tracked.

  • Multifaceted Photography

It seems the animals’ spawn rate and range of regions are extremely rare. Or glitched. I don’t know how many more hours to waste on this achievement. In MSFS 2020, there were fauna markers and POIs to find them. But in MSFS2024, no markers or hints or something like that.

I saw one deer in free flight.
I couldn’t take a screenshot, by the time needed to put helicopter in to hover, deer run away.
I was happy and sad at the same time.
I was happy how deer was acting was pretty similar like in real life. But sad, I didn’t have time to takena screenshot. :slight_smile:
I was going to land on grass filed, deer showed running under my helicopter. Running toward forest, just before forest, stopped, looked at me, than disappeared in the forest.
They have very similar behaviour in real life.

Now I’m doing meaningless roaming, it’s time-consuming, grinding, and a waste of time. Really painful. :frowning:

Someone streamed 4 hours on World Photographer Mode: Savanna Safari. And he got only six stars. 3 stars for Giraffe, 2 stars for Zebra, and 1stars for African Buffalo. It’s the result of 4 hours of playthrough.

Please someone share hyena spawn spots. It’s hard to find hyenas even if it’s not a group with a juvenile. How many more hours do I have to waste on this?

Who would have thought it would be so difficult to find animals in AFRICA, of all places? Reminds me of that line in Jurassic Park, “You do eventually plan to have dinosaurs on your dinosaur tour”?

Actually, I think the first Jurassic Park tour went much better than this.

Ok it is doable. I found all animals. It is hard and time consuming but can be finished.

I like the challenge of flying around searching for animals. It feels more “real” to search rather than have them pointed out. Having been lucky enough to go on a real safari, the experience has a lot of similarities. Hours of searching in beautiful savannah, plenty of buffalo and giraffes and only one lion! The sim reproduces the unpredictably. I’ve returned to the same area with the
same date settings and found different animals. I like it as it is and I’m still hoping to see a cheetah, in the sim and in real life!

I confirm, the snow leopard exists!!!
Two days to find and photograph one of the rarest and most elusive animals in the game. I understand that it can be frustrating to wander around for hours without finding anything and not knowing if it is a bug, a graphic defect or simply bad luck, but once you understand that the animals are there and it is only a matter of finding them, it is captivating and makes you explore some places in a way that otherwise you would hardly do. I play on Xbox and I spotted the animal in the photo from the helicopter at a distance of at least 200 feet without problems. Just to say that if you have the patience to look, the animals are there. I hope it is useful to know :wink:

Anyone else having animals moving, then teleporting back and that in an infinite loop? Almost like ping is super low :joy:.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

I went to the most popular places to find animals of any species, they are extremely rare in the game, there is a problem with animals spawning/density, the Earth is void of animals, in a few hours I only found a dozens, quite frustrating, I am confident it is not the final result expected from the development team.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Everytime I took a few hours to explore.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Explore places that are supposed to have animals like national parks such as the Kilimandjaro surroundings etc

My PC runs the game at maximum settings, I have no problem of streaming whatsoever.

I found quickly animals North of Kilimanjaro but never found polar bear or mooses after two hours search. Find them in forest is quite a challenge. Maybe it’s me or maybe they are all hunted.

Regardig the server issues I would not waste my time searching animals.
I just did the kangaroo foto mission, in one moment the kangaroos are there in the next moment they are vanished.

There is something wrong that is for sure, I stopped looking for animals it’s a lost of time as of now, they are way too much rare, it’s not like that in real life ^^

I haven’t done much searching for animals so far, but I was flying around south of Raleigh NC today and saw horses in several fields and cows in 1 field. I buzzed the fields with my X Cub and they panicked and scrambled. That seemed pretty cool and realistic.

I haven’t checked yet but hoping if I fly around in Wales I will see some sheep.

I wish there were realistic birds everywhere, one would think that birds are the most important animals from a flight perspective. I bought the 2020 birds add ons, they were ok, at least in some places, but would be nice to have realistic birds included all over the world with realistic diversity.
