Unless I missed something the country/area for WU 18 has not been announced yet. Regarding Brazil Jörg said that it will take months to do it.
Based off of one of the slides at the FSExpo presentation WU18 is going to be Poland.
Will we need to remove the older UK & Ireland World Update? Ford this one supercede that one? Or do we still require the old one?
This is going to be interesting, reckon I’ll turn all the ORBX enhancements and dem off first and see what the update brings.
What do we know about London Stansted airport… Will it be superior to the one from inibuilds I have already? Is the developer known? Guess we find out soon!
For the slightly ludite amongst us (i.e. me), does anyone know how this DEM compares to the Orbx mesh?
If it’s a full replacement it will delete the old update. Whatever, unless we’re told otherwise just leave the previous updates in place
As far as I know, it’s only Central London that’s being fully replaced. The London area is also being expanded, to include EGLL’s surroundings.
Yes, I thought Poland would be first as images have already been teased. Brazil was announced first but I reckon it’s been quite a task procuring all the necessary data!
I wonder if Poland will have a WU all of its own, or if it will include the Baltics?
I haven’t gone looking. I’ll probably leave it off in case of incompatibilities though. I also want to see how much the default mesh has improved. Especially over the mountain areas. Orbx mesh is great over those.

So it will delete the old UK World Update automatically? We won’t have to do that manually?
I’m pretty happy with Burning Blue’s Farnborough. I guess we’ll see if this one is better.

I just looked through that presentation. Did you recognize it from this tiny image? 
But yeah, there is something nagging me at the back of my brain that there was a hint about Poland somewhere, might have been a previous dev stream.

It’ll be like the two US updates, they(both Uk updates) will coincide with each other. No need to delete the first UK WU.

No, this information is incorrect as far as my understanding goes. The new World Update should not delete any previous World Updates. They can be installed side by side.

This would be huge for me. UK update today and Poland (hopefully) next month! I fly between these two countries very often in MSFS and in real life. UK looks very good already, especially with ORBX addon but ground textures for Poland are terrible comparing to other European countries. Every time I fly over Poland I see baked-in clouds on the ground and textures tiles with various colour saturation.
Let me put the question in another way. Can I delete previous WUs once we get a new one for the same region? Or do they compliment each other?
