Worse Performance - SU7 - FPS

Put the renderslider higher and set in nvidia control panel the fps to 30.
With me it forces my GPU to work harder and took away my stutters and lag.
My GPU runs now at 100% and cpu between 40/80% game works like a charm again.
So increase visual settings it might surprise you.
Good luck!

I am seeing this as well - very frustrating. I think in the past there was some sort of solution by resetting multiplayer traffic, but doesn’t work for me now.

Yeah in some instances resetting AI traffic worked for me and toggle nameplates also worked in a couple of instances. But sometimes nothing seems to work.

Something stays loaded, accumulates and costs a lot of CPU time on the main thread somehow.
Hope they will figure this out because for them it must be easy to debug what it is that takes so much CPU resources.

I hope people will keep reporting this on Zendesk as well so hopefully they will pick this issue up soon.

Silky smooth until the main thread just gets hammered on approach and GPU usage drops

Can you give some detail how this is done? thanks.

Same problem with the PG on, Big fps impact on ground at airport. Turned off and it’s good now.
I didn’t have this problem before SU7…

OMG you solved my problem! Thank you very much!

I’ve noticed that in the last few days!
And have not uninstalled anything!

+20 and more fps on-off Cities Marking!

You’re right. I tried the setting you recommended. I turned off all markings. I got very good results! + 10-15 FPS. Smooth running when flying close to the ground … I’m happy! Thanks

Can anyone make this into English?

I used to be able to hit 45 fps (limited by nvidia control panel) steadily on my 7700k / 1070 PC but within the past couple weeks best I can do is 22 fps. No matter what resolution, I even set it to 640x480 for the hell of it and it still was stuck at 22 fps. I haven’t been able to play because of how poor it’s running. I was itching for a fresh install of Win10 anyway so I even formatted and started with a fresh win 10 and same awful performance.

I’ve tried a few suggestions from this thread such as uninstalling the GOTY 3D Photogrammetry and fiddling with the other heavy graphic settings and nothing made a difference.

Finally, I figured let me try disabling the fps limit I’m setting with nvidia control panel and sure as ■■■■, I’m getting decent performance again. I had been limiting it to 45fps using nvidia control panel’s 3d program settings prior where I was getting stuck at 22. Seems this was the culprit.

Honestly, the problem is on your side!

Good morning
Pls make a Virus Scan with avast
I had a malware Virus and defender dont found that

I had the same Problem and my Virus make after 10 sec to Start msfs 30 percent CPU and that was my Problem

Pls check your system

No improvements on my side following the removal, certainly within VR. Clouds still remain the biggest killer (30%) as demonstrated by disabling atmospheric effects.

After some more playing around, while the disabling of nvidias fps limit seemed to improve the performance somewhat, it’s still nowhere near as good as it was running prior to SU7 :slightly_frowning_face:

Emphasis placed on eye candy first over the core engine. What a disaster! In the meantime I am trying to avoid flying places that gives me performance issues.

The perfomance is horrible, and the terrain look blurry .

Asobo fix it

SU5: Visuals were sacrificed for performance, Asobo fix it!
SU7: Performance was sacrificed for visuals, Asobo fix it!

Tongue in cheek because I do want the best of both worlds, but as no two computers are exactly alike there will likely never be a time where everyone is happy.

This is very odd, but I had been having awful performance but was adapting to it and all of a sudden as I’m cruising, I get a burst of like 15 fps and it has been sticking to great performance again. I don’t believe I changed anything on my end. Very strange.
