Description of the issue: Since SU5 MSFS confuses my XBOX controller with a Tobii eye tracker, making it unusable.

Can you kindly provide some additional information about the circumstances in which you are encountering this issue?

I have an Xbox controller and a Tobii Eye Tracker connected to my PC, and both are working normally in SU5. I was not able to replicate the issue you are experiencing. If you can post some more info (such as which plane you were using, what airport, any other peripherals you have connected, etc.) that would help in trying to reproduce your problem.

I have this same issue. Just enabled my Xbox controller, went into MSFS2024 and it shows a Tobii tracker. I mean this is your own hardware Microsoft!!! Interesting to see that they are still as out of control of the Sim even after all these years.

Why does the plane you are using have any effect - it’s a hardware controller setup.

I’m using Optica at San Francisco with a Microsoft joystick, a keyboard and a mouse. Or any other airport. And it still shows the Xbox controller as a Tobii.
