Xbox Launch Week

No shouldn’t be, just objects won’t be drawn as far

yeah, same - I saw a few “content providers” this weekend who had no idea what they were doing… was pretty funny. We’ve all been there at some point.

Hi all, looking forward to tomorrow. Been watching Youtube videos of this masterpiece for a while now. After I do the the traditional ‘I can see my house!’ flight :grinning: , I will pick somewhere in the world, fly there, and enjoy the view.

Welcome! Highly encourage you to learn how to create and upload flight plans into the sim, too, as this will help you with overall navigation help… and you can learn how to fly waypoints in any given flight plan. Welcome to the sim!

Thanks, been playing Elite Dangerous for a while but development for that game on console seems to have ended. So I’ve been planning to swap the spaceship for a plane for a while now. Its great to see MFS on console and amazing to see it looking this good.

Didn’t know you could create flight plans, will look into that. :+1:

I’m super excited for this. I used to be a hardcore simmer around 6 years ago. I haven’t got the chance to fly from that time and I am sooo looking forward for this.
This project, is what I was dreaming this whole time. A flight sim based on realistic images of the world.
Next stop, real time AI traffic.

Indeed, I’m in Scotland and am 40+. My younger brothers have Xbox series X as well and they’re all 30+, one being 40+

I was a simmer back in the 90’s, put off by the cost of a rig decent enough to run MFS20, I’m very happy it’s coming to Xbox.

From what I’ve seen, you need the XB controller as a virtual mouse as well as a HOTAS. I have a mouse / keyboard for my Xbox (elite dangerous benefits from it) so I’m hoping that eases the XB controller requirement.

Exactly. Which is why I picked up a ‘Controller keyboard’ (above) so it’s tidy, alongside the Hotas. :slightly_smiling_face:

From what i’ve seen so far from the forum members the PC crowd have been very welcoming to the new xboxers and very happy to offer assistance myself included and I believe that will continue if all concerned are polite, reasonable and friendly.

Words such as ‘PC snobs’ etc just create unnecessary divisions and conflict when none exist and a ‘them and us’ situation. Basically, then pretty negative and unhelpful to both xbox simmers and PC simmers alike!

no yet, but show him #06 and #23 on this list :

Lol then you get hooked on sims like me

I posted my Xbox setup and everybody has been nice got a good amount of likes too

Ok, peace.

Okay, fair enough. Not seen the comments myself but i’ll take your word for it :slightly_smiling_face:

And, yes, the same message applies to existing members who were condescending to Xboxers. No need for it!

Anyway, welcome to the forum. I hope you have a lot of fun here and in the sim :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

I hope too. Thanks dude.

Yeah apparently Xbox players will get bored after they crash into their house, I’ve heard this said more than once on here. Some strange people about lol

Yes, okay. You make a fair point and I understand where you are coming from now. Such comments like that are a bit condescending I agree and not necessary :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

As an additional bit of info. for you (not looked at your profile so don’t know how long you’ve been on the forum) you are able to ‘flag’ posters comments you are not happy with and they should be looked at by the moderators in due course. Also if you don’t like a poster there is a ‘block’ option which will prevent you from seeing their posts. That might save you from being hacked off sometimes. I can’t remember at what stage you have to be at as a forum member for these but you should soon have these options available.

Anyway, happy simming and have fun :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, peace :slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face::slightly_smiling_face:

On series x the draw distance looked beautiful in the videos. Series s has some degradation.
