Anybody knows if the release time of xbox an su5 on pc is the same?
Will be interesting to see what’s available on marketplace day 1
Three weeks ago I was just planning to jump in on Game Pass with my controller.
But the more I watched videos, the more invested I got, even to the extent of shelling out for some kit (in the form of a HOTAS, Rudder Pedals and a Controller keyboard).
So there we have it, I hope it’s as enjoyable as I think it will be. ![]()
Not long now…
Hi!
Do you know if any of the add-ons one purchases through the marketplace for PC will be available for XBOX version? I know some will be “PC Only”, but for those that are cross-platform, do we purchase once, then use in each platform?
Thanks
that seems up to the creator, can only hope they supply them as already owned.
My understanding is that so long as you don’t buy on Steam, and the add-on is compatible, then yes.
Which one did you get mate ?
A friend of mine will play the sim on his Xbox. Is it correct that no freeware addons can be used on the console?
Ah … ‘tis a slippery slope you are climbing my friend. Give the wallet into the safekeeping of a trusted one, even better the wife! It’s the only way to keep the Bank Manager at arms’ length.
Joking apart, there’s something about flight sim that pushes you to go that little bit further for immersion whether it’s so called study level aircraft, better weather or scenery, better traffic and so on. A few months ago I got into bass shakers. Absolutely brilliant! Now there’s an idea for you. Bass shakers under the sofa whilst you’re playing FS2020 on the xbox. Ignore what I just said. Get the wallet back from your wife! ![]()

Feeware addons from third party sites will not work. Freeware from the in-game marketplace does work if the third-party developer supports the xBox. Freeware addons from Microsoft / Asobo will definitely work on the xBox.

Hello everyone!
Cant wait to takeoff, what do you think, if i change my timezone to new zeland, will it work to play now? ![]()
Thanks for the reply!
LOL no but maybe (probably not) if you connected your vpn to NZ server it might. Hmmm interesting thought. Of course you’d have to dl it from NZ so that could slow the whole process down greatly maybe.
Wont work as its global release
Yes, it was obsidian I was watching. He mentioned drawing distance, but that wouldn’t effect the clipping range, would it?
That’s the right spirit!
Draw distance and pop in are totally related. If the draw distance is low, then when stuff finally gets drawn (or when it switches to higher lod models) it is much more obvious as it is larger & closer when it appears or changes and this is what people refer to as “pop in” as the object clearly appears out of nowhere.
With a larger draw distance the object is smaller and further away when the system first draws it and it is correspondingly harder to notice it appear or change appearance.
uh no thats a wrong understanding
@SofaJockey is correct.
If MSFS is purchased through the Xbox store then MSFS marketplace products will be available to download on the Xbox MSFS marketplace if they are compatible with the Xbox platform (and vice versa).
If you know differently please say so.
Is the distance to the horizon going to be less though? Cause that would really suck. I don’t care about detail at distance but I sure hope the horizon isn’t decreased from 60 mi away to 40.
