Xbox Series Marketplace purchases failing

I tried purchasing the King Air C90 a month ago and still waiting on them to credit me then i get an email that they have no access to billing and i have to contact xbox support for the credit. I have been back and forth for weeks trying to get my C90 then i when black friday hit i tried to purchase it again hoping it would give me the i already own the content error and it charged me yet again and i’m still waiting on them to fix it. No plane but they have my money twice now. I’ve had this problem since the beginning and even had to manually redeem my premium FS2020 because of this issue.

I ask myself why it is like this. Such a great game and such a bad support… sad story. I contact xbox support the next days if nothing happen.

I only payed 4.99 euro, I mean Idk for the money, but if only 1000 ppl do this per day and no one get anything… that’s a ■■■■■■■ scam and some ppl getting rich for nothing​:joy::handshake:🏼

I’m having the same problem. Can’t buy anything from the Market Place. (can get the free content) I’ve tried all the suggestions from the forums. Also have contacted support. We’ll see what happens. I’m saving $$ by not buying anything on the Market Place. But would like to enjoy the offerings. Missed out on the holiday sales. DOH! I really do enjoy flying around though. MSFS is amazing, even though there are bugs. Keeping positive thoughts for MSFS!

I have trouble every couple of weeks. All I do is log out on msfs2020 and then log back in. Works every time!

Doesn’t work for me, I’ve been charged 3 times for different planes; the King Air C90, 170-175 and DC6 and no plane and Support seems to not see the charges but they took it from my bank and it shows on my Microsoft account. Nothing works and I’m getting no where. This is also on the Xbox Series X so I’m not sure if this will work better on the PC

When this happens you need to take a screenshot of your bank statement showing the charge as posted, and a screenshot of your microsoft receipt. You open a support ticket to zendesk, and they will manually complete the transaction for you.

I’ve been doing this, they credited my account for two planes a few months ago, now they are responding to me with I have to contact Xbox support and they cannot see any transactions. Also takes two weeks to get any responses from them.

I’m still unable to purchase anything. I can make game purchases on the Xbox marketplace, but not within the marketplace on MSFS. Tried all the suggestions everyone has posted. Contacted Zendesk and got the standard reply. Sent them a response asking them to check their end to see why I get:
Xbox Series X|S - Error message “Purchase pending”
Then a sec later:
Xbox Series X|S - Error message "Purchase failed”
It’s so weird I have zero problems making purchases in games like “Destiny 2” etc. I never see a pop up or anything that asks how I’d like to purchase. (Credit card, PayPal or Credits. I have 3). It just goes straight to the errors. It’s almost like MSFS marketplace payments aren’t hooked into my Xbox payments. I don’t get it.

I’ve tested two methods to solve it, it was worked, but I didn’t know which one is the correct answer.

  1. Restart the game, don’t use quick resume.
  2. Delete the rolling cache, just go to option → Data → delete the rolling cache, then restart the game.

Not me though I’ve signed nothing to do with developers and still can’t purchase anything from market place, did solve it for awhile by restarting console but that don’t work now

I can’t buy anything from marketplace. I am using Xbox series X, I have tried all the fixes mentioned on this forum. All marketplace buying tabs remain greyed out.

Same here, it’s not grayed out, but purchase failed…if i try again it turns grayed out… and only support can unlock

I’ve just had Zendesk remove whatever was causing the greying out of the buy/buy download tabs. They appear to be working normally and have purchased several items from the marketplace. If you are still having trouble you need Zendesk to sort it. Good luck

Not once have I been able to make a purchase on the MSFS Market Place. Like I mentioned above I’ve tried all the “tricks/suggestions”, contacted ZenDesk (they replied that they’d look into after I sent them screen captures of all my settings etc.) no fix. So I took a chance and purchased the Premium Deluxe edition in hopes maybe it’ll unstick whatever is stuck on the MSFS MP store side and allow me one of my 3 payment options I have set up and use in other games with zero problem. Well, still no luck making a purchase in the MSFS MP store. Oh well, it’s def not the end of the world. I’m asking for a refund on my Premium Deluxe edition purchase, and will just fly with the Game Pass edition. That’s plenty fine for me. Once they get some of the market place issues fixed and def the 3rd party approval delay issues figured out, I’ll try again. Just wanted to share in case others are having the same issue. I just gave up. It shouldn’t be so hard on the end user to spend $$ and use their product. (don’t get me wrong I love the sim, and really hope they can figure all this out) BTW they made the refund like super fast. Like in a few min. fast. Thanks!

I had the same problem on my xbox series x. tried all the suggestions on this forum and the only thing that eventually sorted it was some kind of re-set of marketplace by Zendesk. Is working fine now (fingers crossed).

I found the resolution after some ttroubleshooting. You need to sign out of every Microsoft account (Xbox App, companion app, Microsoft store, and MSFS). Then launch MSFS I normal mode, not administrative. Go to the marketplace item and it’ll tell you that you must sign into the Microsoft store first, at this time leave the MSFS app running and open Microsoft store. Sign in using the same exact account you used to purchase the game. Once since into the Microsoft store go back to MSFS and make your purchase.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that sounds like the process on a pc. The xbox works a little differently with the account.

After going back and forth with Zendesk about not being able to purchase from the MSFS. (sent them screen captures of all my settings etc to help them figure this out). Here is the response.

“We can confirm that this issue has been tracked in our internal bug tracker. Bugs and issues that have been successfully reproduced will be categorized and prioritized—game-breaking bugs will receive the highest priority, while middle-of-the-road and cosmetic bugs are prioritized based on reproduction and the number of times reported.”

So whatever that means. Some folks like me just can’t make a purchase in the Xbox MSFS Marketplace for whatever weird buggy reason. It’ll get sorted out at some point I would think. Until then, I’ll just enjoy the stock game. It would be nice to have some of the other planes, and airports. But with the state of the game, I think I might just be lucky at this point not having any “extras”. Thx for the suggestions sent to me from some of you all.

I got the same response today as well and I’m mad as hell, they have charged me twice and I’ve got no refund nor any DLC and they said they were closing the case. I reopened it and I’m gonna nag the hell out of them till they do something either giving my money back or my DLC. In the past, they have manually redeemed it but seems like they are giving up on that.
