that’s interesting because just made another trouble free flight using Orbx Dubai - flying all over the scenery for half an hour+,
have you tried reinstalling the Dubai scenery?

I have the 4simmers EU livery pack but don’t see the NEO part on the livery. How did you get that?
Thats the bredok easyjet livery ![]()
One thing that hasn’t been mentioned that a lot of people still don’t know is that … if the series X is in 120hz mode, it actually runs worse with the sim. I could go into a long explanation as to why but I’ll just leave you with this… I kept it off of 120hz mode and it runs twice as smooth.
With that said, if yours is off and still has issues, I wish I knew what to suggest because (while it may not be perfect) it still runs beautifully for me.
Cheers
Ah ok. You prefer that one to the 4simmers?
No 4simmers much better quality although abit gutted they couldn’t get easyjet written on the winglets
I’ve been running my series X in 60hz mode for some time now, buttery smooth.
My X is 1080p and 60Hz but I get stuttering and pauses around Australia PG and modelled airports.
I recently got the xbox series x and was really suprised when it handled the game in an inferior way compared to the xbox series s! I had been playing a lot on the series s and I think playing on a huge tv is the best way to see those glorious landscapes. If you google for “digital foundry flight simulator” you will find their review for the xbox port. (eurogamer 28 july 2021), it adresses some stuff in this thread.
a) it’s not your imagination or whatever mods / hardware. Stutters are a real issue for everbody.
b) it’s a design choice “temporal reconstruction” to get more detail from the 1440p it runs the game in.
c) these things are also on pc and have been fixed there? am I reading that right? hope they fix it!
d) and yes i can confirm that the series s runs the game super smooth. its a joy to play there!
After the latest update I got black screen displays during descending and ctd.
Is anyone else who has the same issue?
Yes, it has been an issue that has been going on for months due to a memory leak and still no fix. See thread here.
the sim ■■■■■ me so hard. justsim ctd in Dusseldorf. why don’t you get the thing to run stably!!! when products are sold via the marketplace, i, as a customer, also expect that ■■■■ to work.
Again, how is it “elitist” if it’s true though? Please don’t use the word if you don’t know how to.
Except it kind of does, because flight simulation has always been about mods on PC. Can you use Vatsim on Xbox? Does Xbox currently support study level planes like the PMDG DC-6 or the FBW A32X? No, it doesn’t. Those are two of the major factors that determine serious simming. So please, do explain your logic about this thinking. I’m willing to hear.
This is such a goes nowhere fast sort of argument, because it is massively subjective.
Here’s an example of the subjectivity:
In time, PMDG’s DC-6 & 737 plus others will be on Xbox, the CRJ is supposedly coming, too.
The future is coming, as well, and we don’t know how the sim will evolve or the Xbox’s implementation will either.
It’s all good that you’ve found what you want on the PC, but there is zero need to start an argument over what is better and who’s more “733t”, because of the platform and add-ons they choose to run.
i.e. it’s a pointless debate not worth having.
After all this time has anyone actually found a solid solution to this problem.
I am at my wits end with the stutters over large cities like London or New York. I paid for ‘the worlds fastest console’ and for what??! The worlds priciest slide show. Simply not acceptable. Please if anyone has any solutions as I literally bought this console for this game specifically and have been waiting for a magical update since release that will fix the games terrible stuttering. Going to jump ship for ps5 soon. How can they release a game this bad in this state
Demanding, groundbreaking games will stress even the most powerful consoles. However things that have helped me to get the best performance from my Series X are:
The sim still stutters occasionally over large cities but most of the time it is beautifully fluid. It performs far better on my Xbox than on my PC that cost nearly three times as much. I still cannot believe that they managed to squeeze this onto a console and get it running so well.
Just my two cents, but the Series X is a beast. Don’t jump ship. As has been said previously, this is a high demand sim.
If you look around at some of the posts, you will find that some people have said that the Series S outperforms the X and people have a very good experience with a less powerful system. My son has an S and I’ve found the same to be true. This leads me to think that there is an issue with the sims compatibility with the X. I’ll leave the reasoning with others since I have now reached the zenith of my tech talk abilities.
The X is a fantastic console and the best on the market at this point IMHO.
I think the S runs it at 1/3 the resolution of X, not in 4k HDR. I tried 1440 on the x, for about 2 minutes, looked at the steam 172 gauges and of those two minutes it took me 1:45 to change the settings back. Although that is sitting in front of a 55" TV 3" behind the yoke. But on on a more reasonable sized monitor it wont be so noticeable. I got used to having to turn my head back and forth to look at the edges of the screen…
What I also did not realize is that if you build a fairly high end computer at 4+ times the price, it still is NOT going to be displaying it at 4K on a 55" TV. I went to play it on my fairly decent gaming laptop(that runs i racing fine) and didn’t realize I was stuck in a 1440p world. It’s actually quite amazing a $500 console can put your face right up to a 48-55" TV and actually look perfect. Actually find myself leaning up quite close to it at times to read gauges/gps and sure enough it’s right there to read, I’m just zoomed out a bit too far from the panel for my older eyes, kind of sort of EXACTLY like a real panel. Found that 55" extended out to the back of the yoke is nearly a perfect scale POV match for being in the real aircraft.(works with automobiles the same way too).
