Your Current TOP 10 Aircraft

Who wouldn’t love to fly a plane with that panel…steam gauge heaven!
Not to mention hearing the infamous howl of those engines with a good sound pack.
Would be great in VR with a couple of buttkickers.

It is pretty quiet around here without those weekly updates :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

My dog’s leg got caught on my throttle’s usb cable. She dragged the computer off its ledge, ruining the cable, damaging the usb ports and damaging my rudder pedals cable. So I’m not flying for a bit until I buy new equipment.

Did the NTSB investigate and file a report? Sorry to hear that…hope you are flying again soon :+1: excuse the humor just trying to cheer you up.

Sorry to hear that… what an unexpected and unique computer-related accident. Hope the dog is okay…

My dog related computer incidents have usually involved cable chewing. Somehow puppies can chew through power cables without getting zapped. Not sure how they do it.

I find the two products below very useful in making the PC area animal safe (Australian Links) and neither are particularly expensive:

Sorry for your incident there :frowning:
I hope your dog didn’t go “flying” (across the room) when you realised he’d wrecked your gear. Wishing the dog is fine tho?!

Sticking with it for January
Maybe I’ll put another poll out in early Feb

I noticed the forum is generally a bit quieter than normal the last few days though.

Back to kind of on-topic. For those of us with Ever Increasing Hangar Collection disease (I call it “AA” for short… addon addiction) this tool, in development at the moment, might be of interest to you.

I (and others) have been helping the guy (@Sonicviz) to test and squash bugs as well as giving some ideas to improve it. Pretty nifty and definitely something I’ll be using.

It just drops in your community folder and adds a new button in the flight planning screen (World Map) that lists your planes in a table rather than large thumbnails.

Main thing is you can tag your favourites and sort the list by those, so your marked ones come to the top. Faster to find the one you want and with no typing and a lot easier to scan through than only seeing 12 or whatever it is per screen with the big images.

He will be doing a free one (which you can install now from his site) and a Pro paid one with additional features. To be released soon. It is pretty nifty!

Thanks for the link, will be useful as I suffer from HCD (Hangar Collection Disease) perhaps there is some HCD anonymous (HCDA) meetings to attend?

I’m already a member of AAA, and that costs enough per month already

Whaaaat? You’re supposed to like aircraft, not shoot them down! Also, beware of wild weasels at your next triple-A meeting

It’s a love-hate relationship

I’m working on it, with my “3A friends”

Just beware of the trap of hiding Twin Bofors in the back of the kitchen cupboard.

Any of the new helicopters blowing your mind?

Since I still wait for the Wilga…

Honestly haven’t flown either enough to pass any sort of verdict yet. They are both good though (assume you’re talking about the Bell 206’s?). I’d stick with the 40th Anniversary ones first if you haven’t dabbled yet tbh.

Cool. Probably get the P-40 then. The rice is right.

I know they were used successfully against the Japanese, but there’s no need to rub it in

I got an official warning this week because of an autocorrect typo.

You’d think I would learn…

This is why I will never be Tier 3.
