That sounds good (pun inadvertently intended). Would you be able to write some instructions on how to do that exactly please?
Joined! Time to get that secret nitrous tank hooked up to WilmaâŚ
Fish is totally doable (assuming we can even get underwater). (Already got whales, right?)
I love those bird addons, the Northeast US one is so greatâŚ
I could imagine, however, it would take a developer or a huge team to make all the fish down there, lolâŚ
When I started my flight lessons, the hardest part was learning how to taxi properly⌠I was so used to steering âbackwardsâ in those railed sleds (down a snowy hill), I kept turning the wrong way, lolâŚ
Was using my Grandfatherâs 1909 Flexible Flyer (not this one, itâs at my momâs)
Is that the next Captain Sim release?
Imagine what we could do on the snow with Asobo ground physics in these things. Put it in CFD, and theyâd probably take off!
Then the AI sleds would be there at the top of the hill doing pretty pirouettes, lolâŚ
(I love that they think theyâve fixed that)
Ok, will check whatâs going on here.
Yep do have that one, and it is pretty good but I am sure BBD would push it up a notch or twoâŚ
Canât be, it doesnt have a 747 cockpit and default cessna sounds.
Missed this one as was off testing our next Contract Air Mail release but if you wanted a location for a mountain race following arrows and beacons in southern Oregon we could oblige!
Yes, please! You can be the leader
Righty ho, will let you know as soon as we have it out. We also a 25 mile sprint down the Colombia River GorgeâŚ
Update for April 2023
(XBox X with Turtle Beach V1 and 4k monitor)
Total hours sim flying in the range of 600 plus - also four complete re-installs for assorted reasons and faults)
- Textron Aviation Cessna Skyhawk 172 Analog then Glass - like the analog version 'casue itâs very good training for (as you will see) some older big iron birds.
- Textron Aviation Cessna Skyhawk 152 See above. This little guy is even more forgiving and at the same time demanding you do it ârightâ. Sadly Iâve been able to âlandâ and stall out at 10 ft and still âwalkâ away.
- PMDG DC-6 So you can see now why Iâm spending a few hours brushing up my analog âoldâ fashion flying. This bad boy big iron is a very mild plane if you do it right and stay ahead of him but if you fall behind you might as well grab both knees, bend over, and kiss your rear backsides goodbye.
- Beechcraft Model 18 (smile) Iâm seeing a trend here â yup âbabyâ big iron. Another bird that is in need of a firm hand. If you drift she bites you hard.
- Kodak 100 When I am in the mood to relax
- Wilga 35/80 Ya it looks like Iâm jumping on the bandwagon but ⌠she is a fun little bird
- Spitfire LF MK hmmm still like scaring little old ladies with low passes
- Bonanza V35B In my not-so-humble option the smoothest ga on the market.
- Antonov AN-225 Come on whatâs not to love about this monster? If you can get it up youâre the king of the air.
- Sea Ray LS10 Look after 10 or so hours in the sky you need to chill with your buds and soak up some raysâŚ

Finally caught up on almost 5000 posts since the thread has begun. Iâve flown briefly when MSFS came out but was hard to find time with a newborn, so I had to quit flight simming. Sheâs recently turned 2 and I have managed to carve out some time to get flying again and here are my top aircraft so far:
-
[Asobo] TBM 930
Iâve been flying this aircraft a lot since I started flying again and it fits my criteria for speed, range, and flexibility in completing a world tour. The ongoing improvements to the aircraft continues to improve me enjoyment of this aircarft. Trip so far:
-
[Asobo] Diamond DA62
This is aircraft I spent a lot of time in back when MSFS first came out. Its a beauty and very capable little aircraft and carries quite a few passengers and its a great aircraft for Neofly. I also did a circuit around Australia in this:
-
[SWS] Kodiak 100 Series II
My first premium aircraft purchase. I fly this whenever I donât have time to complete the long legs in my world tour trip. The more I fly this aircraft the more I like it. This baby sure has a personality and Iâve never had so much practice trimming in my life! -
[HPG] H-145
Second premium purchase and man does it pack a lot of content. I wish I have more time to fly this, maybe after I finish the world tour and Asobo improves the rotorcraft simulation more. -
[Asobo] Cessna Grand Caravan
While I still like this aircraft a lot, the Kodiak is fast replacing it. -
[Asobo] C-152
-
[Asobo] C-172 G1000
-
[Asobo] Cabri G2
My first rotorcraft and the one I learn the nuances in. I suppose the H145 will overtake this very soon. -
[Asobo] CubCrafters NX Cub
I flew this quite a bit when I started MSFS again earlier this year. Its a nice simple aircarft
-
[FlyByWire] A320 Neo
The only airliner in my list. I just donât fly airliners enough.
Thanks for the update - quite some changes!
Do you mean the L FIVE ten?
This?
ROPROD Audiovisual | Sea Ray L510
Wow, quite an achievement!! That must have taken a while
Thanks for your list and congrats on the little one!
I know the feeling about sudden lack of time for our hobby but itâs all good in the end!
Old list:
- Black Square Analog King Air.
- PMDG 737 800.
- Cessna 414.
- Honda Jet.
- CJ4.
- Discus Premium Glider.
- Cessna 310R.
- Black Square Analog Bonanza.
- Carenado PC12.
- Black Square Analog Caravan.
New list: (Now in order of how much i like them)
- Black Square Analog King Air. I got about 200 hours on this model. I fly it almost daily.
- PMDG 737 800. Just perfection in my opinion. Love flying this model.
- Cessna 414. My favorite GA model. Its as good as it gets for me GA wise.
- Honda Jet. The new autothrottle and VNAV makes this great. My favorite business jet.
- CJ4. Great freeware.
- Discus Premium Glider. The best fun for those days i really want to fly. There is something about powerless flight.
- Asobo Aviat Husky. I bought this on the weekend. Having so much fun flying it around Idaho. Hope the fun lasts.
- Cessna 310R. I figured out how to fly this. Its a great model. Requires a bit more attention on approach.
- Black Square Analog Bonanza. Great model although i find the flight mechanics slightly boring.
- Carenado PC12. I love the PC12. I will love the SWS version more.
Maybe the ones whose PCâs are $800 âgamingâ systems from Best Buy.
April list is almost the same as last month. One new plane.
- Turbo Porter PC-6. Milviz/Blackbird
- B350 steam gauge overhaul. blacksquare
- P28 arrow III. Just flight
- C310. Milviz/Blackbird.
- C208 steam gauge overhaul. blacksquare
- DC-6. PDMG
- L1049 Super Constellation. Redwing
- DC-3 with the duckworks mod.
- C152 with the mod.
- New: Tecnam P2006t. FSS
Great plane with lots of interessting features, good systems and flight model. Really well done GA plane. Up there with the best GA planes.

Out og my list
- DHC-4 Caribou, Orbx: Like the plane, i had to bump this or the fantastic free C152. Enjøy flying this, but for some reason it is a bitt heavy on my system.
Yup thatâs the one. The only problem is I canât do any underwater diving. But can get some rays and chill for a few.

ps yes I did completely rearrange my flight time is different planes. As the XBox becomes more capable Iâm able to get more interesting planes. But having said that some of the âstandardâ planes are very very good.
Easily done: in the aircraft.cfg file (ras-zippysport\SimObjects\Airplanes) Replace Sound=â....\Asobo_Savage_Cub\soundâ with Sound=â....\Asobo_FlightDesignCT\soundâ . You can do it for each livery, or not. Note that the Market Place version (it is available on the MP if I remember well) may not have the aircraft.cfg available to edit. These files are usually encrypted and donât show up. Enjoy.
Yep I bought on the in-game store. Darn, youâd have thought I would have learnt my lesson by now but I thought Iâd try and give MS some money⌠aircraft.cfg does not show up
But I do see all the other .cfg files.
EDIT: Ah but wait! For the extra liveries, seems I CAN do it, which is ideal coz now I only use those special liveries! So I will try this!
