Your Current TOP 10 Aircraft

I actually think it looks pretty sleek, especially with all the fairings. She sits nice and low, like a low rider. Each to their own tho.

Yeah I am talking personally, I like to fly things I at least have a chance at flying. So for example I may never get to fly a tiger moth but it is possible, flying an A380 is never going to happen. Also most of the stuff sitting around my local is not glass cockpit, maybe a small garmin if that.

However I am aware that many people treat MSFS a bit like Need for Speed or a racing sim where they can get to experience a Ferrari or a Formula One race car that they will never get to drive in real life. That is fine, it is not for me to tell people how to play the game and yes for those people the Comanche, Tiger Moth, Arrows, 414/310 are all retro and maybe a bit pointless compared to say a Vision Jet or new Cirrus.

So, after being gone for a couple of months, I feel like not too many major and groundbreaking things came out yet. 777 is still in the oven, so is MD-11… I feel like a big one I may need to pick up is the Black Square Duke bundle.

Does anyone recommend one out of the Denarq Beech 18, ATR or Skyvan?

The Beech making the list this month got my attention :eyes:

I KNOW none of them are perfect

  • Skyvan (I already have the Blackbox Shorts)
  • ATR (I REALLY want a Dash 8. Are the issues sorted with the ATR now?)
  • Denarq Beech (I don’t currently have anything like this but have already been spoilt with the Duke, Blacksquare and Milviz when it comes to twins).

I also know I shouldn’t be buying any more aircraft and be concentrating on getting more proficient with what I already have :see_no_evil_monkey:

You and me both, Ariana. I’ve bought planes that I have a feeling I’ll never fly.
It takes so long to set them up in SPAD and get them (mostly) mouse-free, that I’m almost forced to spend time on just a few. Not to mention I’m still a neanderthal when it comes to IFR navigation.

So much to do, learn, and explore in this sim.

I am VERY guilty of constantly hopping from one plane to another.

I can’t help it. I get too EXCITED.

Jack of all trades, master of none?

Really need to concentrate on getting more proficient on my top 5.

But let me know if any of those 3 jump out.

Making me wait is also an option…..

I bought the Beech and the Denarq mod because of all the reviews. It’s a cool plane, and the fact that it will kill you if you don’t treat it with TLC is pretty neat.

The Skyvan is so ugly I haven’t even considered it. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I want a Dash-8 too. I don’t have the ATR. I’ve stayed away because of all the reported problems. According to what I’ve read, some of them seem to have been sorted, while some remain.

I love the ATR.
You can use vor to vor or like an airliner with the fms.

There is a real difference between the 42 and 72 model.
There is a full cabin.
The ā€œapu systemā€ (propeller break to use an engine to power the plane) is funny.

There are still bugs with vnav apparently but it is more easy to use the VS SPEED to descent in this plane and that’s what real pilot use apparently.
The plane is often updated too.
The bad note on the marketplace is due to the fact that when released it had losts of bugs but it’s ok now.
For 14.99 eur for 2 good planes with 2 variants + full cabin, it worth.

I am looking for the dash 7 on xbox but i will wait to see more reviews.

I guess I should add a Top 10 to my chit-chat.

  1. Marwan Garibs Hjet - I really like the automation. It feels like the Wizard of Oz is controlling the plane, while I just fly it and enjoy Emerald City.
  2. FSReborn FSR500 - I love how it looks, sounds and flies.
  3. captmatto Bonanza G36 Improvement Mod - Old faithful. I use it to test my sim after any system changes.
  4. Flyndive Smaug - Wilga on steroids. How can you not love a freeware bush plane that can hit 215 kts and land at 40 kts?
  5. Got Friends Wilga - There’s just something special about her.
  6. GotGravel Vertigo - The sense of speed and power.
  7. OV-10 Bronco - Just an awesome example of modeling. So fun to fly.
  8. GotFriends Edgely Optica - My go-to hand-fly low and slow sightseeing plane.
  9. Flying Fries XF-11 - A really cool airplane, modeled well. I’m glad I own it.

I’ll put the Duke in the 10 spot, even though I haven’t flown them yet.

  1. Black Square Duke Turbine - Gorgeous aircraft. I know I’ll love them both, and one or both will probably move up my list once I start flying them.

I know you have not flown yet, but you can only pick one variant for 1 vote. So just for my records, I put you down for the Turbine (I think you will prefer that one lol).

I guess I misunderstood this:

But yeah, turbine all day!

I guess you missed this (details at bottom of the PDF that means)

…and this :stuck_out_tongue:

Sort of depends what you mean by a couple of months, aside from the Duke, the 146 got a major rework, as did the Cirrus in SU14 and the Inibuilds A320NEO is now default in SU15.

I saw the ā€œmight drop the idea!!ā€ part. You can put whichever Duke you want for my vote. I did edit my post to say turbine, though. But piston is good, too.

ā€œI have a pool, and a pond…the pond would be good for you.ā€

Hey buddy. I’m sure there are still some Golden Oldies you haven’t picked up yet?

Could I tempt you into a Flying Flea? Or a Velocity XL?

I’ve not tried the piston version yet, but I’ve flown the turbine version a lot, and I think it’s the best modelled twin in the sim to date.

Yeah, haven’t flown the 146 since the update yet. The 32NEO v2 - haven’t either, but I HAVE flown it originally before it was… withdrawn. I will give that a whirl soon. The SR22 is great.

I don’t know anything about the Flying Flea, what’s that? I WAS looking at Velocity yesterday. Looks tempting, but I don’t know if I will ever have enough time to fly it.

It’s in my Top 10 now. ā€˜Nuff said

Yeah I know the feeling but I still manage to jump around enough.

I really should take this advice  lol
