On your Xbox S, If you open MSFS 40th Premium Deluxe > General Options > Data > what does your “Online Functionality” look like.
On Xbox X with Premium Deluxe, since SU11 it is greyed out, and there is no ability to toggle it on or off. I and others have reported it… what does yours show?
I don’t understand your steps. Are you signing out of MSFS (upper right corner), or are you signing out of Xbox on the Home screen? Can you go step-by-step?
Moderators: can someone ask Asobo if any of the Sim Updates, or World Updates, modified the Xbox “Hosts” file? If yes, it’s possible there is a mistake. that would explain a LOT of these issues. Thanks.
I am on day 30 of this horrific issue with a Zendesk ticket as well as a Xbox ticket on file (previously closed and re-opened)… After four MSFS re-installs and a full Win10 re-install, no progress has been made and unlike others here, I have not even been able to start MSFS.
The attached photo shows the bottom horizontal start-up line at about halfway across the screen. This is where it starts and ends with subsequent CTD. It is as if the system is stuck here with no reset available, regardless of re-installs.
Yesterday (Mar 1, 2023) Xbox Store & Subscription servers were offline for several hours, then on Xbox X there was a software update for the MS Store Purchase Host.
For the first time in 3 weeks I can now open MSFS (having done yet another clean install) - but because MS has chosen not to communicate, I don’t know if it is coincidence, or if they have fixed something. The lack of communication is the most disappointing aspect.
I’m also having the same issue on my XBOX Series X. Usually after a day or so, it’ll work it self out somehow and everything is back to normal. But this does happen every so often and is very frustrating to say the least.
Yeah same reoccurring and frustrating issue here. And as you said the most frustrating part about the whole thing is even after wasting the time to download the extra 59GB of offline data you still are unable to play the game. My Xbox service status and network are 100% healthy and all other games and content work except for MSFS. I have unintalled and reinstalled, have cleared my cache, and read every forum topic that covers this and nothing works to fix it. And im not trying to be rude but it would really be nice if other people stop trying to problem solve and only add to this post if you are having the issue so that it can be clearly documented. The help is greatly appreciated but it clutters up the info we need them to really see so this ongoing problem can be fixed. I played all yesterday afternoon and this morning even got some flying time in. But when it was time for me to start my duty schedule for the Virtual Airline i fly for my game will not work. Please lets get this post noticed so we can enjoy the game and not feel like we are being used as a revenue source to further develop the pc game like so many other game developers are doing.
Yeah I can fly offline no problem, but all online features are greyed out and not working. I’m signed in and can play other online multiplayer games. I’ve owned this since release on Xbox and never had an issue, now all of a sudden it’s totally unavailable, unless I want to fly offline, which I don’t.
I joined last May, and unfortunately it was bad timing - the had just released a “Sim Update” that was very buggy and it was basically unplayable for me. I joined the Beta testing, and acknowledge vast improvements in stability and functionality since then…
However, there is a new collection of server connection issues which basically add up to: MSFS can’t handle the slightest hiccup when one of the many servers it streams from simultaneously isn’t 100% responsive. This is behaviour I am strongly advocating needs fixing. MSFS is supposed to allow offline play, and should just adapt to network conditions gracefully.
