9070XT is amazing

Hello… never hear of optiscaler; looked it up…

why would you use optiscaler instead of andreline`s ? what is/ are the diference/ benefits?

Thank you

You can still turn on FSR3 frame gen in the sim and Optiscaler gives you FSR4 antialiasing.

The real problem there is the VRAM on the 4070 Super. If the sim goes over the max available it starts stuttering all over the place. You can see that in the very red GPU frame time. So it really depends on those settings. Maybe it runs within 30% difference if the texture resolution is dropped slightly to Medium while everything else is the same.

And actually, the real problem here is how the sim handles the VRAM situations. Let’s stop giving a pass to devs for not optimizing their stuff correctly. It should not load textures and objects correctly (blurry, low LOD) rather than stutters and dropping frames.

Correct optiscaler let you use fsr4. At the moment fs2024 is not even at fsr3.1

Is FSR 4 antialiasing is better than TAA ?

Yes like double fps and crisp clear graphics like TAA. Optiscaler is used to enable fsr 4 in flightsim as per su1 only fsr2 is available

I assume you all are selecting FSR rather than TAA in the FS graphics settings? (otherwise no FSR4!)

If I select FSR (and yes I am using optiscaler) I get horrible ghosting on the instruments (the speedtape on the glass cockpit display of the fenix a320 is the worst - during flight). None with TAA. I don’t notice much difference in either in terms of fps

Nothing I can see in Adrenaline seems to make any difference regarding killing the ghosting including turning off Frame Gen nor do the suggested settings in the cfg file above

7800X3D/32Gb/ OC 9070XT. upscaling 1440p to 4K, most settings ultra.

Performance I am seeing 60-115 FPS in the Fenix at ORBX YMML with frame gen enabled.

I just posted above but doing some more research I would like to confirm:

My glass cockpit instruments are crystal clear when static but the speedtape is blurry/ghosting when it moves.. I.e altitude/ speed readouts in flight. Are you saying you don’t get that with these settings?

I note that no one identifies the brand of display graphic card they are using. Is the brand a factor that you should consider if buying the AMD RX 9070 XT gpu product?

Thank you for the information. It is very helpful.

I have a Powercolor Hellhound.

As above a 9070XT is a 9070XT. The differences are cooler quality and models like Hellhound & Red Devil run an overclock out of the box.

Weird graphical artifacts around cockpit at night

Does anyone experience this issue descriped in this bug report?

Never seen that

Are you in SU2 beta?

What driver version do you use? amd-software-adrenalin-edition-25.3.2 here but didn’t have time to check a older version.

I’m in SU2 Beta. Seems like its related to SU2 Beta

Seems that they have logged it as a bug. So let’s see if they can fix it.

It’s not logged as a bug just yet, it has a feedback logged tag. Lets hope they have a 9070 series GPU in the office!

How does the RX 9070 XT perform in VR? Has anyone tested it on a Quest 3?

Yep. See Virtual Reality - Is it worth it now? - #45 by Doehead
