AAU2 Beta: worse performance and odd white frame around MFDs in PMDG 737-800 and other aircraft

Wish I was there this weekend because for sure I would find Jorg and ask him why did they release yet another buggy update and if he is aware of the rage in various forums about this white dot and white box issue that many now have ruining the sim. He may not like getting called out publicly but I wouldn’t care.

The white dot/border was literally the first bug for that a thread was opened on the forums.

I do have it as well on the PMDG and the FBW. Odd, but ok, good to know, its belong to the last update.

“Odd, but ok, good to know, its belong to the last update.”

Of course it does. People already said it in Beta and nothing was done with it…

With the Leonardo MD88, this Bug happens too, after some Time its vanishing magical, but at landing its back -.-

Why am I obliged to download AAU2 if I use only the Fenix or PMDG, for which it is useless??? About FS2024, I am 100% sure it will still NOT have in-cloud turbulence, thunderstorms and weather radar and will still have the bugs in the physics of the atmosphere and of the airplanes that FS2020 has… They are not “visible”, so who minds… Asobo are almost entirely committed on only-eye-candy effects… FS2024 will be just a way to make more money, when MSFS is still half-baked… Thanks Asobo!

Devs i hope this helps

And also micro macro stutters are back inside cockpit and outside while rotating and changing cameras. Yes rolling cache deleted and recreated 16gb.
Also Fps drop after aau2. EDDN Gate10 12:01pm 737-700 BDSF, before patch 98(49fps) min - 112(56fps), after patch avarage 88(44fps) but lag spikes to below 40. Tested using LG C1 VRR info panel. I was testing 737 and airports for community since 10 days. I noted fps values of airports i used a lot. EDDN was smooth as butter, not anymore. Xbox stability: scenery performance using the PMDG 737 as the test subject
A possible telemetry activated causing stutters and fps drops? Have a great day you all.

This just happened while testing, ctd after 3mins, big lag spikes and freezes. Before patch it was buttery smooth. Anyways. June 25, 2023 - YouTube

Hi, about the white frame around screens i’ve listed all default aircraft who have the issue and the steps to reproduce the issue. (Dedicated thread for this issue)

Unfortunately, a moderator have taken the unilateral choice to declassify the thread and have been moved into general discussions and is no longer in the Bugs section…

I hope they put your topic back to bug section, this happens on default planes also for months. Thanks for the detailed list. This belongs to BUG section, what a shame.

Same white box issue on PMDG 737-7 randomly across all panels (e.g. PFD, MFD, EICAS, etc.) after official AAU2 release. I did not participate in this Beta.

I’m having the same problem….both the white box around screens and the occasional white dot. Seems like a device is constantly sending an input signal, so when i move the mouse or interact with the flight deck, it’s fighting another peripheral for control….except no other controller is active or actively sending a signal. It’s so frustrating. My sim was running so well until this latest update. If only there was a way to unwind the update to go back to the previous version. Oh well….hopefully Asobo will figure this out asap.

Not to compound this bug, but who all is having issues with their mouse and click spots in the sim now? It’s impacting several planes for me:

Yep, the white frame, white dot, mouse not clicking, mouse lagging all seem to be somewhat related and might be caused by the same underlying issue (maybe).

The bug-logged is applied here, so hopefully they have all the info they need for a fix as it’s acknowledged with that tag (that’s how I think it works anyway).

I do confirm the white frames on the Fenix A320 displays, very often. Before the latest update, I had them occasionally only when I connected my PS4 controller (with bluetooth).

I’ve been watching this over the last few days and watching my system performance, and as of today, compaired to before AAU2, the Half-Second stutter has returned and I get the what frame around the display units. :(.

This stutter is driving me insane trying to find out what is causing it, it makes the sim unflyable and uninjoyable. :frowning:

Here’s my screenshot of the FPS monitor, note the spikes, this is exactly 0.5 seconds. Anyone else have this? Only started after AAU2
