About the Bugs with 2024

I agree. People like NixonRedgrave and other longtime contributors should be invited to the internal design and testing process of MSFS 2024. Unfortunately there seems to be reluctancy to do that.

‘When the confusion and frustration outweigh the enjoyment, it is simply no longer worthwhile as a hobby.’

No that’s not me - that’s a quote 6 days ago from the public dev forum. (All Aircraft in MSFS 2024 now Encrypted? - #104 by GrimPhoenix9349 - Aircraft - MSFS DevSupport)

In the days after Nov. 19th I didn’t understand why anybody involved would want to have this released.

Now…I don’t get it why there’s absolutely zero damage control. It seems almost that someone @MS WANTS this to go south…

Right. I don’t care about 2024 any more.

MS should make FS2020 a subscription at a monthly fee they think they can afford and guarantee support for the sim. I’d be happy with it for a long time.

It like they brought back Steve Balmer and the Windows 1.0 design team for one last hurrah

Interface guidelines that we use today were worked out by Apple 40 years ago yet Asobo struggles with the most basic concepts as if the previous version of FS was a DOS based command line game.

Well, they are still hiring an ‘UI Art Designer’…how about to start with an UI designer, the ‘art’ may come later…?

A post was split to a new topic: Advice Required, Plane Climbs Immediately After Starting

I can’t take it seriously anymore. I’m not surprised by discovering a new bugs anymore. Things like these make me smile. Just look at these screenshots. What the heck is going on there?

And bonus: I don’t know if it’s another bug or an Easter egg, but if you look at the Antarctic you will see an ugly world map in circle

Looks like some programmer wrote a bad SQL query somewhere in 2024 without…TESTING!!! FFS

That might be the Flat Earth many people around the globe keep talking about.

Shouldn’t that be “across the globe”? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Give them a break guys - they’re busy trying to release the marketplace in-game first - Prioritites !!

Yeah, psychologically MS/Asobo are showing masochistic tendencies - do the responsible persons HONESTLY believe much will be sold through a marketplace when the surrounding smells like rotten tomatoes?

Personally I’m buying nothing until we see a clearer path towards the bugs being fixed. Marketplace or no Marketplace.

And I bet if MS released a LL or FF aircraft tomorrow 80% of the users or more would get it.

We who care are the minority. Unfortunately there is no competition for MSFS 2020 and 2024. We will not be able to change anything. It is what it is and we have to live with it.

We’d all get it the next 4 aircraft are free.

Will it be the ‘next’ four or just any 4 of what’s coming up.

I read it as next 4 aircraft releases whatever they are. I guess we will know in time.

I’ve been an Xbox user since the original released in 2001 and my Xbox Network (née Xbox Live) account is as old as the service has existed.

I have watched Microsoft gobble up studios, close them down, layoff workers in the gaming industry, and reward all of us faithful Xbox users with botched release after release within this console generation.

I’m so nearly at the point of dumping Xbox, too, and heading to Sony — I’m certainly going to heavily consider it when the next console generation is here.

I’m seriously sick of their inability to do nearly anything right anymore. What a losing team.

I’ve just applied the latest update to DCS, so will probably be spending some time getting re-aquainted with the A10C, F-18 or F-16. Maybe all of the above.
