Air Hauler 2 Coming Out Soon For FS2020

Thanks, i’m staying with FSeconomy.

it’s more economical

@WieldyChunk3693

I think Air Hauler is the better option for you.

Played On Air for a few months. Its nice but there it ends for me. Horrible flight planning and childish GUI. Earning 40k delivering some magazines in a c172 is breaking the fun after a while ( understanding a 3 year grind is not fin either :joy: ) .BIG downside is the subscription model also

Frequent updates … but not the important ones. For example a few updates ago the “push reg number to fs2020” broke. I reported 4 times .. tickets autoclose … and in return the dev is spending time on a stupid button. The free option neoflight ( rude copy basically !! ) is getting beter also i supose.

Have AH2 since thursday and i LOVE it.
Gui is a little outdated but looks more professional and less childish. Lots and lots of things to do and to adjust. The developer is realy on top of things and started with the 3rd patch this morning ( in 3 days ). AI routing is super because you can setup a schedule. Ingame Pricing a (bit) more realistic also.

Think good value for money.

Great feedback. Thanks!

One thing that was nice about OnAir was the trial. I’m still playing OnAir but looking for something a bit better. I need faster menus and less downtime or lost man hours due to poor UI layout/functionality. It does look like Air Hauler 2 is a bit rough on release though. The streams I watched all had issues flying the 320 and gave up. Some saying it’s janky and slow too.

So I’m curious will we see a timed demo or something we can try out? How is performance when the app is tracking aircraft? How is managing a larger airline with many planes and employees? I do really like the fact the AI have routes. Would be so cool though if we could see our AI with our own liveries.

Not likely based on the fact that there were no demos for past versions for X-Plane 11 and FSX but I could be wrong.

Haven’t picked up AH2 yet as I’ve not been simming the last week or two, but likely will soon. The recent SkyPark announcement was interesting but I believe that will need a subscription to get the most of of it. That was their original plan but it may have changed now. I wish it was more clear what that product will really offer…

AH has a database- & .NET-driven standard design, much like Plan-G for example, but I had no issues to use the original and the layout and structure made good sense. AH2 is a derivative of AH1 and looks very similar, but I doubt it’s likely to have a UI overhaul any time soon. Despite being a bit utilitarian it looks professional enough for me; the MSFS-esque homepage excepted perhaps! The other programs I’ve seen look sloppy in places and are (or were) full of minor typos etc. which puts me off (more than it perhaps should, especially as the developers don’t have English as a first language I expect).

I tried OnAir with XP about a year ago but didn’t like it as much as old AH1, and given my sometimes infrequent simming times, I didn’t like the idea of a subscription. FSEconomy I’ve briefly tried but I’m not sure it offers quite what I want either. We all want different variations on a common theme so it’s a case of finding out which suits each of us best.

I’ve met the AH developer, Duncan, and believe you’re in safe hands buying his product. There was a lot of pressure from users in the Just Flight/AH forums to port AH2 to MSFS so I expect a few minor issues in the early days.

Whatever the case, having a variety of products in the market is only good for us

Do you think they have plans to make it available on Series X?

Do you think they have plans to make it available on Series X? I guess it would need to be via the marketplace.

So far it looks pretty good from what I can tell looking on the outside in. Would be nice to see it on the Marketplace and also work on the XBOX X. All the videos and streams I watched didn’t do it justice though. We need a demo or something. Welcome TheRaptorRico o7

Sky park early release it out. Used it an hour and already prefer it to AH2.

AH 2 just looks sooo old.

Yes just saw this. Looks promising.

Currently using a pilots life which is pretty good. Going to try to see some videos on theskypark

Skypark is okay, I think. Have done some flights and it does what it should. Not too much management and a focus on flying. The main plus for me is the nice skypad interface. You can do every flight with every aircraft and even 3rd party aircraft can be used without problems. Jobs are generated all over the world and you can search for contracts using several filter options (max route length, type of aircraft etc.). The main problem for me is that I would always like to get the next contract from the airport where I landed the flight before. I don’t want to hop around the world every flight. Have not found an option for this.

I know what you mean, but Skypark doesn’t currently(fingers crossed it’s coming) generate enough trips. I have tried searching for a trip at the airport I’m currently at and it’s quite minimal results. Sometimes airports near me.

Not sure SkyPark is aimed for this type of flying though. I’m using it for now as a random route generator and seeing places I would not thought of trying.

I have 2 big missions at the moment - A Round the World capital country tour and a fly to every US State Tour. I was using OnAir for my World Trip, but ended up doing more diversions for cargo runs. I’m trying out AH2 for my State Tour - really trying to ‘like’ AH2 interface, but man it’s hard work

Agree the interface of ah 2 is challenging and could be more modern and intuitive.

All I can really add is that you get used to it. Once you do, I think its a great addon.

Skypark looks great and has a fantastic interface. However, from watching the //42 dev video and hear them talking about a subscription based ‘premium’ edition makes me worry about the standalone product’s long term future.

Just refunded Airhauler 2 for being an unstable product when it comes to connection with fs2020. Lets hope they fix it in future versions. And hopefully they implement something like an UI, and not a database-simulator.

After OnAir the second software developer that doesnt want my money. Welp.

Yeah I’m not a fan of subscription models. Want to buy something and own it, not have to pay rent to use it. I’m just of that generation I guess (or maybe sensible?!)

You are not alone. Especially when something is declared as “Service”, which means, that any changes to the product have to be accepted. When OnAir-Devs think they change their UI to pink and you have subscribed, you have to chance to avoid it.

The SaaS bandwagon is truly a double-edged sword.
