That’s exactly what Word does when it suggests changes in makeup. Try adding paragraphs normally. Correcting it takes 4x as much time as doing it by hand…
No it’s not an
Before the last update the sim was running smooth as hell 99% of the time even with me running at 4K with everything on high and some things on ultra and 300 LOD but now it’s not smooth at all and especially on approach into an airport it is a stuttering mess lol.
This is a load of speculative BS. I had the sim locked at 30 fps on the Monday before update. I had 10 fps on Tuesday after the update. i9-10950K, with 2080 Super and 64 Gb RAM. There was no windows or nVidia update. I flew my last flight on Monday evening eastern time. Tried my next flight Tuesday afternoon after the update.
I fly a benchmark flight from Beverly regional in Beverly, MA USA to Hanscomb Field in Bedford, MA USA in a Cessna 172 GPS low altitude. I use Ultra settings with 1920x1080.
Monday - averaged 30 fps locked and Tuesday 10 average at best. I can get back to close to 30 by dropping texture down to 80.
People can speculate and BS all they want, but something changed.
Agreed. There are so many complaints now that its hard to believe its not effecting everyone to some degree.
Keep in mind that there will always be people who defend there purchases to the bitter end and refuse to see problems.
My mother was like this in a way. She grew up during the great depression and it was ingrained in her always to find the cheapest price. Until her death she was always like this. The cheapest thing was always the best thing no matter how awful it really was.
A similar mind set could also being going on with some users of this sim.
Well, FS2020 wasn’t exactly cheap…
. Especially if you start going nuts in the marketplace!
Now, there’s a load of speculative BS! ![]()
If my mom had been a flight simmer she would have used one of the 99 cent sims and swear up and down that was just as good as all those expensive ones.
See what I mean.
Me also,no problems,no crashes. No add ons,no tweaks. Running I7 9700k,32 Gig ram,GTX 1070. All stock,no over clocking. Runs great, always over 40fps on 1080p. Maybe they need to optimize for newer hardware. I feel bad for all these people who can’t even enjoy what they paid for! I’m very anxious to see what the problem ends up being!
To be fair since these stuttering issues seem to be location oriented I can see how some may not be effected.
For example me; I fly almost exclusively on the west coast of FL between Tampa and Key West. If there were no locations between these two points that cause these stutters I may vary well have been in the “no problems here” category.
I too thought perhaps it is because some are flying in the same areas (could be 1 or 2, or a dozen, but favourite places for them nonetheless), and if those particular areas are not some of the reported places with unusual stutters or freezes, then they don’t see what all the bluster is about.
While I mostly fly all over the place - I know, attention span of a toddler - until this last Sim Update I never had any of the performance issues. I tended not to fly over big cities nor in airliners so perhaps I was missing those issues due to that.
I made a thread here in the forum for people to report where they are experiencing these problems - so that other people who are trouble-free can see if they stay that way.
There are quite a few ‘problem locations’ here if you’d like to test some of them to see:

this will be very useful
No problems will defo do
yes, emphasising what you said. should not have directed to you but some of the stuff I am reading here is
just off the wall. ![]()
Have you enable V-Sync and limited the frame rate to 30, or what that just your average FPS prior to the patch?
Is it possible that these stuttering/fps issues are a result of some faulty newly implemented server/client data compression to help meet the growing network demands for new users especially the upcoming rollout to Xbox devices?
I’m not floating a conspiracy theory here, I’m just letting my imagination run wild in lieu of no specific updates heard so far…
When flying yesterday I was surprised to see my ethernet spikes we’re only in the 10’s and 100’s of kb even when flying over populated areas and changing my POV. I never really looked at my throughput before. I did test my Comcast 250mb connection and it was fine and the East Coast servers indicate 23ms.
This post further demonstrats how dangerous a little bit of knowledge can be…![]()
Try loading up at 76T - it is entirely unplayable < 2FPS.
Please load up at 76T and report your findings.
Thanks in advance.
I managed to take off at <1fps. ![]()
