There is a clickspot between the two buttons, where both buttons are press simultaniously.
I managed to get it to show up again by selecting a different aircraft and saving, then selecting the Bonanza again. I havenāt tried it a second time to see if itās repeatable.
Strangely, Iām NOT in the beta and the dynamic reg does NOT work for me on the Baron. Worked the first flight but now when I turn it on I get ugly black boxes where the registration should be. Using a default livery as well. Kind of annoying.
Anyone else getting cylinder cold indication and damage when in cruise? I was cruising at 13k⦠well above freezing. ROP⦠and I am geting negative 120 CLD readingsā¦, and my engine is getting damaged? Not much else I can do to get warmer air in there. Cowl flaps closed.
Also, why no Oxygen in the P baron? Surely there would be some when flying up high? In case pressurization fails? The duke is pressurized and has 02.
Thatās not strange, thatās expected. The dynamic reg will only work properly with SU4. It was broken since the release of FS2024 a year ago.
Watching that Analog Bonanza Technical Overview video reminded me of the extremely clever use of in-panel toggles for the various radio configs in the B Analog overhauls. The tablet is certainly a needed tool for aircraft config, but Iāll miss that clever whimsy. ![]()
Is this true for all aircraft? Iāve had the registration work for me quite often. Iām in SU3
Iām in the 2024 Beta and the dynamic registrations are not working. Sometimes no registration, sometimes a portion of a registration is shown on the port side only (standard UK style reg). Starboard side always blank
Surprised to read dynamic registrations are working fine in the latest SU4 Beta. Realise Iām talking about the Dukes and Starship. Sadly I canāt test the issue on the latest Black Square offerings as am on Xbox so have to wait patiently for an unknown amount of time.
I joined the BKSQ forum yesterday to ask whether it was possible to select my Addons_Linker folder as the package install target, since by default it installs into Community (which I donāt want.)
Using the BROWSE switch worked like a charm. I didnāt try dragging the setup.exe file into CMD. The instructions I got were to copy the extracted package folder into a temp folder and run it from there, i.e.
D:\BKSQtemp\Install_bksq_baronpro_msfs2024_0.1.0\setup.exe BROWSE
Next time I want better control over an install path Iāll try dragging the setup.exe file into CMD.
Iām sure whatever installer they are using could expose a browse button in the UI as well. I havenāt looked so donāt know what they are using.
Unfortunately they seem to have a subfolder named community hardcoded into the setup process. So if you choose D:\addons as install folder they will put it into D:\addons\community\
It is probably because they normally would lookup the āInstalledPackagesPathā property value from UserCfg.opt file and then add the necessary community subfolder to match the folder structure the sim is expecting.
Itās at least true for those aircraft that use this type of implementation for custom regs (i.e. the BSQ Bonanza, Baron, TBM 850, A2A Comanche, TacFlight Kiowa).
Hm, thatās odd. I gotta say havenāt tried the dynamic regs on the Dukes and the Starship yet, but with the Bonanzas and the Barons I had a 100% success rate on multiple flights. I will have to test it some more.
Iām 90% sure that it was installed into my Addon folder.
I see a link to it (as expected with AOL) in Community.
But the package folder is where I told it to be.
It definitely went into Community when I just ran setup.exe with the BROWSE switch in a command line.
Iāll double-check when I get home this evening.
For me it was a case of āfools rush inā: after my initial default installation I just assumed and simply dragged the folder from my community folder to my addon linker folder. Works fine
Of course this works, but the goal is to install it once and being able to update it w/o any need of manual copy/paste work, while at the same time being able to use the AOL features.
You can then create a .bat file with the extended setup.exe call that you simply double click whenever you want to update.
Understood that there are certain benefits of doing it this way, thanks,
Quick question for all: I am finding my configuration settings such as panel configuration, WX radar pod and dynamic registration are not persistent. Is this possibly because of my manual move of the folder/files or do others experience this as well?
Thanks
The problem I had in SU3 when I did that was the plane didnāt show up in the sim aircraft selector.
