There’s actually a manufacturing defect on the sidestick. It doesn’t have anything to do with wear, but it’s just manufacturing defect that made the rudder to be twitchy. I solved it by following this guide. Once I done it, the twitchiness is gone and it’s a lot more comfortable to use it. In terms of wear, it should be fine. Unless you’re planning to get a rudder pedal later on, when that happens you can unbind the rudder from the twist axis, and just lock the twist using the switch behind the sidestick so it can be locked in place:
Maybe unrelated to the original post, but is anyone having any issues with the throttle mapping on the FBW A320NX? For some reason even though I have configured it all correctly, the engines just seem to go straight from A/THR to FLX and just skip past the CLB indent, even when I have the throttle there and it is also there in the cockpit in the game. I never had this issue pre SU5 and it is really driving me nuts because I have to either fly with too much throttle or not enough! Anyone else or just me?
Did you make sure your Sensitivity Control settings are fully linear, and calibrate the throttle from the EFB FlyPad?
Yep, my sensitivity settings are linear and I followed all the instructions several times and I am still having the same issue.
That’s strange then. Because when you position your TCA quadrant into the CLB detent. And you go to the EFB Flypad to calibrate the current position into the CLB detent. It should directly set your current position to the CLB detent without jumping anywhere.
It’s basically telling the Aircraft “Look at my current throttle position from my control. This is the CLB detent, so use this position as the CLB detent”. Then save and Apply the setting. If you have done this and it still doesn’t do it. I don’t know what’s going on with your setup.
I have exactly the same problem. TCA quad and throttle useless to apply thrust. Haven’t used game in months. Cannot get a hold of anyone for a FIX. Very frustrating. I want my money back.
First thing’s first. Start with a default Mouse profile, and starting a new blank keyboard profile. Only bind the Toggle Pause into the ESC button, but nothing else.
Then delete all your existing TCA Quadrant profiles to bring it back to the current default profile. Then duplicate that default profile.
Then you can start by unbinding the toggle fuel valve and make the necessary changes. Then reset your sensitivity back to linear, and calibrate the FBW A32NX if you’re flying it.
You can see how I do it here:
Hello people! Guess what?! After today’s update - where MS said the the issue with the TCA Quadrant is solved - well, IT IS NOT! CRANK/ IGN START Switch is fixed but I still have the issue with Eng 1 Switch. Well thank you very much MS for a job half done!
Is there anyone I can actually talk to in order to solve this problem. Now I received an obligatory update but there is no update at the site??? I assume there is no way to contact microsoft for a refund. I was 100% satisfied with the game until that previous update.
Same here, not solved for ENG 1 and both square black buttons too. You can set a function but it doesn’t work…
I’m experiencing the same thing, I haven’t tried it yet but in other threads they are saying to install the Xbox app on your pc and that solves the update problem
Xbox app doesn’t change anything.
You can fix the engine 1 switch issue even before WU6 by removing the Toggle Fuel Valve binding.
Thank you for the report - having the team check on the ENG 1 Switch.
The issue appears to be the Toggle Engine 1 Fuel Valve mapping. Assuming you are using a custom mapping, remove Toggle Engine X Fuel valve from your mapping and it should resolve this.
Here are the new default mappings for your reference:
