Yes, thank you. So if an external power source is available then I can use that switch instead of the battery switch to power the A/C. And once I am ready to start I can switch on the battery and change the external to starter and power the engine start from external. Did I get that right?
Exactly, After some testing I can see that the external power is avialable on a ramp regardless of the connection to power truck. Preferably you should get external power only when you request it and power truck connects. At least when you leave the ramp the external power is no longer avialable.
Exactly which standard event should operate the master battery. I can get the aircraft to turn on/off by writing to the relevant bus connection but the in cockpit switch does not animate. i thought this latest mod was supposed to make âTOGGLE_MASTER_BATTERYâ work as per other aircraft.
Hi:
Have you used simbrief with this mod? Do you consider the vanilla profile in simbrief is suitable for the mod? Or maybe itâs necesary some tweaks?
i fixed tooltips in the latest patch today(on my fork). It would be interesting if the tooltips were the cause for @Sling380 problems. I didnât see that on my side. In the last release TOGGLE MASTER BATTERY and MASTER BATTERY SET work. @Sling380 Could you confirm that you are testing with your community folder empty. My first guess would be incompatibility with some other mods.
Iâll test again and let you know.
It makes me so happy to see the community working together to better the C208B EX.
My frickinâ slow-boat-to-Hawaii SSD is going to arrive TOMORROW, 02 FEB 2022. If all goes well, Iâll get at least Windows 11 installed and updated tomorrow. Then⊠all q34p95y7394875o983745 GB of MSFS
I am trying to make Cessna startup procedure closer to real thing - based on POH and based on Start Sequence Cessna Caravan G1000 - YouTube.
My question is about the behavior of the generator off notification on PFD as i am confused exactly when this notification pops up.
During startup the generator is not connected to power bus unit starter switch returns to off position. Yet during startup procedure the generator off message does not pop ups. Does it mean that startup switch prevents the message from commign up ?
And then what is the effect of moving the startup switch to start position during flight and normal engine operation ? Does it enables ignition and disconnects the main generator ? does the genrator OFF message comes up then ?
Hi there. I just want to say hi, and thank you guys for this mod. I love c208 and since i bought mfs in the day of relese, I flying only in this aircraft. I also want to send you my checlist for caravan that i made after watching 100 videos and read POH. If something is wrong with it just tell me
Wow, that is one of the best references Iâve seen for an aircraft. Thanks for sharing.
I can check this later in the week if you still need an exact answer. My initial thoughts are the annunciation will only come on when the generator is meant to be running but it will depend on how itâs being sensed and any internal G1000 logic used. I can only check the sensing I donât know what the G1000 is doing internally. The POH should give this answer though. The generator and starter are a combined unit called a starter generator and it can only ever be in one of these modes or off. The mode switching is controlled by a GCU (generator control unit) with input from the relevant switches and the signals it receives from the start and generation circuits.
Wow! Thank you for putting this together! Caravan Cowboys Unite!!!
âCaravan Cowboys United!â XD I love it
Great work. Could you please provide it as downloadâŠpdf?
The last page with âBalked Landingâ doesnât seem to be linked. I wasnât able to save that one. Would you mind editing the post so I can grab that one too?
Hey gang, here you go. Credit to @SlizgajPieroga!
SlizgajPierogaâs C208B Grand Caravan EX quick reference checklists.
Please let me know if that link doesnât work. Apologies if the âBalked Landingâ page is a little blurry. I had to take a screenshot and use that.
Thank you guys for good word about my checklist. I still need to correct few thing and add other landing procedures. Here you go PDF. I add operating an oxygen lever and correct after landing and shutoff sections. c208 checklist
@SlizgajPieroga, just to report a very small typo, should be " [ passengers out ] " in place of " [ passangers out ] ".
In any case very nice work and sharing
@SlizgajPieroga You can submit your checklist on the GTN750 discord, which works wonderfully with the Gran carvan. Channel checklists
