Thanks for all the work on this!
I wondered if it might be possible to tweak the vr controller clickspots on the modded caravan yoke? The yoke on the default caravan is very over sensitive.

I do not have VR so I donât know anything about that
Iâll be curious to hear feedback from those of you who are on the SU8 beta. It includes the new propeller simulation on the C208. I also noticed the patch notes mention that theyâve finally fixed the de-ice switches and enabled the yaw damper!
Yeah the yaw damper finally works (took them a while to fix this one!), there is an issue with de-icing though, confirmed by several (de-icing mode switch doesnât stay on windshield and reverts to airframe)⊠The new prop simulation is not super impressive to me but I donât know, maybe I am picky or it needs to be improved/tweaked⊠Seems more accurate on the C152. Oh and it comes with a bug on all 3 planes that have it⊠full throttle with the parking brake on makes the plane slide backwards a bit on the groundâŠ
I donât have the beta because of the stupid way itâs implemented. What I do know is the windshield switch position is meant to be a momentary switch. When operated it sprays de-ice fluid on the windshield. If this is what you are seeing then this is correct.
Oh wow, had no clue, time to do some research to fix that, thanks for pointing that out @Sling380 !

Maybe a stupid question:
With the mod for the TBM, you can open doors and so on. Why is that not possible with the Caravan?
Someone has to animate it I guess, perhaps even change the model to accommodate it.
that is correct the current model does not have animated doors, it requires modelling the animation. Itâs certainly possible but not something that can be done quickly.
Soooooo⊠it has been 52 days since Iâve flown my beloved C208. New gaming PC is up and running. Got everything installed. Could not for the life of me figure out why I couldnât get the dang turbine to light off. I was following the default C208 checklists, and those have done the job before, so I was a little perplexed. (Insert a bunch of troubleshooting here)
Decided to carefully look at @SlizgajPieroga C208 checklist carefully. For some reason, I was skipping right over âfuel shutoff.â
Probably familiarity and not following the checklist. Or, that got modeled with the community mod and Iâve just been away long enough that I missed the notes of that thing being updated.
Just in case youâre wondering where the dang valve is:
Pushed that in per the checklist, and whaddaya know. One running C208!
donât feel bad, it took me a few tries and a number of sentence-enhancing words to figure that one out as well. Especially when starting in the dark.
I was wandering is it pushing/pulling every flight? I saw a lot of videos and nobody pushing it for start or pulling after shutoff⊠it shouldnât be pushed all the time? At beggining i thought only purpose for this one is engine fire.
I went into troubleshooting mode and was trying to figure out what changed that allowed this to happen. My buddy says it was modeled before - maybe it was just in the âonâ position all the time? Thankfully I finally realized what was going on!
Thatâs what my buddy told me - youâre not going to use that to shut off the fuel. Thatâs why they put those handy valves right in front of you on the roof!
The firewall shutoff is part of the engine fire procedure. In an engine fire, you want the fuel turned off directly at the firewall and not the tanks.

Oh - yes. Possibly I didnât phrase it correctly. My friend said that the only time youâre usually going to move that knob is in an emergency.
Sorry if this question has been answered previously, but Iâve been searching info and found nothing. Is there a way to set the altitude selector in 1000s instead of 100s? If I remember correctly in C172 itâs possible using the key Ctrl.
Doesnât seem to be a way to do that, as itâs only a single mode dial.
This may not be what you are looking for, but I use a Stream Deck for AP controls and views. If you have keys set to increase/decrease alt selection, long presses go in 1000s, short presses in 100s.
Thanks for your tip. Iâll try to use those functions. It isnât essential, but when I receive the ATC clearance, well, after freeze the trackir, takes me a while scrolling the mouse wheel until set up the assigned altitude.
