Works! Thank you!
Do Carenado have sales often? Might look to pick this and the Seneca up if they drop in price. I’m sure they did a 50% discount briefly last year.
Hello there same problem can u tell me where to set to Modern in the sim? Thank you !
Hmm… sales are very rare. Only one time I have seen (one) of the Carenado planes on sale last year.
In Settings
It’s not hard to find. General options → flight model
Why is everyone blaming Carenado for Piper’s choice in instrument panel acoutrements? This is a typical Piper panel of this era. It’s the same in the Warriors I fly. I hate it, too, but, it’s not Carenado’s fault.
I think there is so much “real estate” for the Seminole panel that the expanse of flat area is glaringly apparent. As you say, “it’s a Piper.”
I’ve always thought of Pipers as being like the Chevy in the GM product line, and Cessnas are more like the Buick. Beechcraft are more like the Cadillac.
Nothing to complain about with any of them, it’s all about what you want to park in your hangar and how big your budget is. Pipers and Cessnas are both more affordable than anything built by Beechcraft.
And look at these awesome details. Polished mahagony woodwork with leather paneling:
The reflection of the weather radar and the GPS is different:
Someone made this real awesome interior overhaul fixing the engine gauges and the light switch ON OFF labelling
The illumination during night flights is perfect and can be fully dimmed:
Crimson velvet curtains will probably come with the next update.
edit: I found a strange bug but I don´t know if this is caused by my instrumentation overhaul or if every Cessna Skymaster has this.
The Flight Director FD and / or NAV1 is always illuminated even with avionics and battery switched off, and the EDM engine gauge has such an ugly clouded-greyish slightly visible illumination:
This is one of the night lighting bugs. I have this with the “stock” C337H.
Ah good to hear! Because a few months ago in my first Carenado repaint for the Mooney I messed up one of the “emis” files (which are for night light emission on various aircraft and cockpit parts) and that´s why the radio panel had all buttons always green illuminated
I thought the Skymaster light bug is caused by some incompatibilities exporting the wintext.emis file - I have made a new alpha-channel for this file after fixing the false ON OFF labeling of the cockpit light, and bump/normal map are also often problematic. But looks like the two new alpha channels for the cockpit light are fully functional.
I bought it, but MSFS crashes when I use the Carenado 337. It seems the dashboard is the problem. Looking around in the hangar goes without problems, bit once I switch to internal view, I can see the dash for 1 second and then it crashes back to the desktop…
You could try uninstalling it and reinstalling.
Does it fly when you load it into a flight?
Do you also have the Aerosoft Twin Otter?
That’s disappointing. I’m not sure I have a suggestion to help with that. Both work fine for me, and all my existing key and control bindings work as they should.
Post a ticket with Carenado; they may have a solution or suggestion.
Carenado, if you are listening, I have bought 3 aircraft from you and love them all, but could you include instead of the cones, proper tire downs? I would like to be able to protect my investment from wind gusts!
I own the WACO and the Mooney as well.
I’d send a Zendesk ticket to them. They’re not quick to update but they do listen (well, sometimes )
Zendesk is the software platform used by both MSFS and Carenado for customer feedback.
Link for Carenado support is here.
I should have linked to it, I actually thought when writing it that it might be confusing since we all talk about Zendesk with Asobo in here. Thanks!
Ah the PMDG Cloudmaster does the same. It crashes to the desktop as soon as the interior view is activated (or the airplane is shown on the runway and when clicking “start flight”) while DX12 is active.
That´s classic DirectX12 incompatible behaviour. Please try switching to DX11 and the problem is maybe solved
