Yes, I love this new feature.
You are using an outdated Version. Update via your //42 installer
I get a similar screen when the sim starts but, once into the flight, it all works. I think it’s because of the experimental version.
Thanks, its working now ![]()
I use BATC to inject my traffic. Spotting works perfectly when my plane is on the ground.
During cruise I can see planes around me on both the cockpit traffic display and the BATC map. But, CP spotting mode does not seem to see them. Should it be able to spot planes in cruise while you are in cruise as well?
Check the filters and adapt them to what you want to see.
I did try that. Did not help.
It should work in flight?
Versions 21 and 22 are disabling my Xbox controller right trigger, which I use to translate drone view up and to increase view height inside the cockpit. The left trigger is working fine to decrease view height, the issue is just with the right trigger. If I install version 19 it works again. Hope it gets fixed in the next one, because 19 doesn’t have the spotting feature.
At this point you guys should open a ticket about those issues ![]()
Just to say - I popped into the world camera (via ChasePlane keyboard shortcut) directly the other night while parked on the ground and my aircraft did still move out of place when I returned to the cockpit, even though I only went as far as the far end of the runway. I could still see my aircraft model the whole time and I actually saw it move. Not far, a few meters, but it moved.
For exploring on foot you have Avatar mode, of course, but that’s ground-level only and only as fast as you can ‘run’. I’d like to have a drone camera that is / can be entirely disconnected from the aircraft model when you’re on the ground, so I find my aircraft exactly where I left it when I come back.
I’d guess this is probably so far down the Asobo bug list that we’ll never see a fix.
Unsure what your graphics settings are (or if it’s relevant) but at least on my end, I can go to the other side of the world, and the ground is still loaded under my aircraft when I come back!
in SU6 when i try to pan with RMB, the pointer doesnt hide and stays fixed while panning
We’ve just released an update, should be resolved now.
The update didn’t solve my issue with the right controller trigger getting disabled by Chaseplane. The left trigger works to translate drone view down but right trigger stopped working to translate view up or increase cockpit view height after the spotting version was released.
Same here, but rebinding them works, although it was a bit of a pain.
As noted in the change log:
“Added more reliable input support for modern controllers and specialty devices. The new input system might require you to reassign some control axes.”
I tried rebinding the right trigger in the sim controls menu again but it didn’t work. How did you do it?
