DC Designs AV-8B Harrier II Discussion thread

Is this a mod that I can install?
Where do I get it?

It is available for sale. I’d link you directly, but I’m not sure that is allowed.

I believe that there are two available. So just to be sure that you get the same one I have. I purchased the “Amphibious Ready Group” from the same developer that makes the MV-22 for MSFS.

Look for the MV-22 and those guys make a small task force with an LHA(sorry, I mistakenly called it an LHD above), and a couple other Gator ships.

I just did a CQ on them last week and they worked fine. They are static, just so you know.

You don’t have to post the link but you can say which sites sell it.

A Google search shows Just Flight sells it, I think it’s on the Marketplace, too. I don’t think it works in Xbox yet, not until WASM is fully supported in SU12.

A perusal of this thread will turn up your answers

This is really fun to fly. Starting to get to grips with the handling, so thought I’d do my usual test flight

When setting custom cockpit camera views, I’m getting the pilot avatar appearing in the view. Anyone know how to fix this?

All taken care of. I didn’t want to prioritize a particular site. A quick search would give him all the options and allow him to choose his favorite.

BTW, I use the Amphibious Ready Group. I believe that there is an America offered from another dev as well.

It’s not exactly a ‘fix’ but it’s a workaround, set your pilot weight to less than 110 lbs (50kg), and you won’t get the ghost through. I only have it when I use custom camera views, but I always use custom cameras views, so

I don’t know why you guys are making it a big mystery to just say the developer of the add-on you’re using that people with THIS aircraft might enjoy, but I see that it’s under $11USD from Orbx. Looks like it’s worth a buy.

Works like a charm.
I suspect the F-35 will work nicely here as well?

I’ll be springing for the MV-22 for sure.

Simple,

  1. Because I don’t know if linking to outside purchase sites is allowed or not by the forum rules. Some forums don’t.

  2. Because it’s easily findable using about four obvious search terms. In fact, everyone who has said that they don’t know why I didn’t post it,

a. has managed to find it themselves,

b. and yet, hasn’t posted it either! :joy:

It’s all good. I just wanted to respect the forum rules and I see the poster has found it and it has solved his issue.

I’m going to call that mission complete!

Naaaah
the jet costs 700,000,000.
But I already have that.
I’m only interested in the paintwork.

Ohhhh. Well, you can probably get that for a mere 699 million then

Pepsi ran a loyalty promotion years ago where you collected points you could redeem for various tat. In the advert in the US they joked you could win a Harrier for 7 million points thinking that nobody would try to redeem that, but you could also redeem points by just sending Pepsi money and so:

Thanks for the info! Leonardo sounds like a right knob

I bet he didn’t have 700k in the bank anyway, even if they’d have said “here you go”. Good‘ol US suing culture huh? It was clearly a joke, Leonardo!

I changed the points to the more historically accurate 7 million
but you’re still not getting one for that amount!
