Just delete the waypoint before you depart.
I’m guessing the bloat is scenery files that can be downloaded in the background as you are flying. Can’t help feel this is just a sop to those of us who are continually having to reinstall the software when something screws it up though.
SimConnect injected traffic (VATSIM, IVAO) should now be displayed in HTML/JS instruments that have traffic displays as well as on the VFR Map
This is really cool
Weather radar now displays precipitation instead of cloud coverage
An this!
No issues with the update, right off the bat it has fixed a few “My Content” page issues I had, and I took the C208 up for a quick spin. It seems so good so far, now to put all the addons back, and see what happens.
Prop feathering seems to work also. ![]()
Yes. The steam download took about 90 seconds for me and the Microsoft download 5.5x bigger looks like going to take an hour. Discuss.
Anybody check if the ATIS, runway in use and live weather are now aligned to give the correct runway for the wind? (have to wait until I finish work)
Good to know! … now I’m downloading the update! (France)
Hope this should be the one! That works well…
Oops ! forgot to empty Community.. hope it can read these Norway and Austria DEM’s I’ve installed ![]()
What’s your mb/sec??
In all likelihood it won’t make a bit of difference. I do it just so that I could say to Support that I did it.
Is it me or do the clouds look better with this update?
It’s those rose tinted spectacles of yours lol.
Well @hobanagerik actually I don’t really believe well-behaved addons should give any issue with updates, it’s all sandboxed code. When there is any code at all.. good tip is to just do not run bad-behaved addons. Throw them away, wait for an update. If it just stutters a bit, I remove it. When it takes ages to load, I remove it..
I’m still downloading Content Manager updates, but based on the release notes I’m very excited for this update – the turboprop engine logic fixes are something I’ve waited for for a long time (I enjoy flying the TBM 930 and the Grand Caravan, and both suffer from torque problems until now) and the fix for weather radar to actually show precipitation instead of just cloud cover makes it way more useful on the TBM.
Here’s hoping everything works as smoothly as it says on the tin. ![]()
(Got in and confirmed that the turboprop torque now correctly decreases with increasing altitude – and thus thinning air – so you bump your throttle up to compensate as you climb now, whereas previously you had to bump it down which was incorrect. Yay!)
All good here. However, I don’t see the tutorial for the new effect editor here: https://docs.flightsimulator.com/, any hints @OlieTsubasa443 ?
Just took off from KSEA, live traffic is working. Had couple of planes land and I had to line up and wait as the jet before me took off
