No Performance Optimizations???
No need to delete anything. Move anything in the community folder to a temp folder, download the update and start the game once. If all is well, add the stuff back to the community folder.

@anisham3244 clear (or move) the Community folder contents, but leave \Community intact
My Community folder is at C:\Users\ (me) \AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community
No VR performance improvements here. Very disappointed, I was hoping for at least a bit of progress. And I just had my first CTD ever, not while exiting VR, but while in VR. So far quite disappointed with this update in terms of performance and stability:( I guess we have to wait until they get this XBox thingy out of the way…
I’m getting this too. I kept wondering why this was taking so long.
Downloads were very quick for me. Showed peaks of >300Mbit/s for both the store update and the 5.75GB in-game. US west coast server (I think).
A lot of missing (Military) airports have been added. In The Netherlands, Twente, Volkel en Gilze-Rijen ..maybe more in other areas.
Lighting of clouds seems to have changed a little too.
US cities (ATL) still look as if they were in the middle of a jungle…
I recall Volkel was already there.. runway only
Nice to have something at the Twente former military airport ! there’s a lot of space there
just look where it gets stuck, close the game and delete the directory. This has worked for me, but I have preferred a more radical action and delete all the planes (from the official directory, not community)
UK. Usual 1.05GB via the MS Store then only 3.45GB of download. Nothing else in Content Manager, even the Community Addons are showing as “Installed”! V1.16.2.0 so looks to be okay.
For a change a superfast update - might get a chance to check it all out later.

The update installed smoothly, and now I’m flying the Arrow in NZ with the new Orbx mesh.. It’s till smooth! maybe a bit smoother,even,but could be placebo 
I’ve had to completely reinstall again, gutted :-(, never had this happen before but being a beta tester, my machine couldn’t cope and when I downloaded the microsoft store 1.66gig, it seemed to delete everything…my download being 15-20 mps, it could be a long evening
According your screenshots something changed about trees. Size and numbers.
And if you look to the hill in front of the runway, trees on the second photo and not the first. Interesting
Just passed by traffic at FL370. Ai contrails are displayed

The second screenshot is without the “tree-size mod”. I think it looks better (like they announced).
