I’ve reloaded the sim after clearing the cache (again). The trees have now vanished.
Honestly, as much as I love this sim (and I do, when it works) it gives me a migraine sometimes.

Now I really need to know. Were the giant trees already there before WU9, or did some of you just fly there for the first time because of WU9?
Or can we easily get rid of them by clearing our cache. In that case I’d better delete my Q&A topic…
I can’t test myself at this moment.
Giant trees have been there since day one for me, all over, and not just Italy.. They are a little better than they once were, but they are still too big.

honestly I’m considering a roll back, so far it was worse for me
even a lot of non pg objects (trees, buildings, airports) are melted while never saw them before, or at least not at that extent in italy
edit: maybe not the best screen to show that but i never saw trees like these
How do you do a roll back because Microsoft will force to update again even if you have an older backup?
i guess i just need to uninstall the wu9

And then what? It will force you to update again when you start the flight simulator.
My educated guess would be yes, as the large tree problem is global, but some have reported it is also affected by lattitude.
I don’t care the size of the trees. The real problem is its misplacement. They grow where they shouldn’t. Buildings are drown in them.
Don’t think so. This is an optional WU. You can just delete that. It’s a SU you have to go with. The word rollback has been chosen a bit freely here I suppose.
This has been a problem going back 2 years during the Alpha testing. I have a cottage with a 100 foot beach after the release of the simulator my beach is gone all trees. I send pictures before and after to Asobo but nothing got fixed.

i don’t think so, that’s true for sim update not world update, i dont think they are mandatory. if i remember correctly i had multiple of them uninstalled for some time for space reasons

World updates are always optional, and are downloaded (or removed) through the marketplace, not the content manager. There was no change to the core sim files with this WU other than the latest nav database AIRAC.
You are correct I was wrong because both patch update and world update come at the same time to me.
Hi mate, sure! All over the Alps you have a Gorgeus scenery, expecialy sunset. You can do a coast to coast, like from Genova to Venezia, about 1h on a cessna 172. We have a lot of river, so you can follow one river from the mountain to the beach. There’s a lot of things you can do!
