Are you talking about comments like mine, or are you talking about specific details about the conference announcements themselves?

Unless they get their server speeds up and their ping times down, this will be a Bad Idea

Vaild concern. In the interview linked to above, Jorge addresses this. It sounds like they are optimizing things so that it will actually use less bandwidth instead of more.

EXTREMELY slow download speeds in content manager

I am on a cabled 1000/500mbit connection. Everything is checked, and speed test confirms my solid connection. Nothing else shows any problems with connection, except for MSFS mainly the content manager. Download speeds are very low. 1-2mbit/s-30mbit/s. It has been an issue before in the game. It may not matter if the endpoints can’t deliver the goods.  The network issues need to be resolved before they put any more reliance in the cloud.
