We have a saying “When you are in a hole, STOP digging!”
They are making themselves look really bad
Hahaha they locked down the topic… as usual
Because they are losing the argument
Aerosoft just said Offering access to older versions might be something we could do on our shop
But then they locked the topic
something to upvote for those affected by the CRJ CTD bought from the MSFS marketplace:
He seems to suggest you insist on an older version delivered by Microsoft. Or he really can’t comprehend you 're asking them for an older version, since you’re technically the customer of Microsoft (in his mind). Funny also how you’re not allowed to downvote his message… LOL
This guy should not be in customer service at all.
In general it’s all a bit messy though, this Marketplace and its problems. But if I compare it to a lot of regular products, it’s certainly not uncommon to skip the shop where you bought the product and go directly to the source. Some producers then might insist you deal with the shop first, but I think most are very willing to deal directly with customers, cause they regard them as their customers, no matter where the product was bought. In the end the Marketplace is just a sales channel.
Clearly Aerosoft didn’t prepare any strategy for these types of problems. Unless you’re willing to call this a strategy.
I thought the whole point of a vote is that it is free.
Not dictated to by them so you can only tell them what he wants to hear.
I think they call that a dictatorship and we all know what happens to them in the end. ![]()
I bought the Thrustmaster TCA throttle from Amazon and the TCA add on from Aerosoft. I had a disconnect issue & contacted Thrustmaster tech support. They were really helpful but they didn’t say you bought it from Aerosoft so go away!!

Yes, it’s ridiculous. It’s that kind of stuff that shows you you’re never gonna get a solution out of him. He’s way too rigid, doesn’t know how to improvise, hasn’t got the attitude or mentality, and when he feels cornered he flees by locking the discussion. Of course, since he’s sticking to his initial response, he also doesn’t have anything more to add.
He might have very good qualities, but customer service isn’t one of them.
Yes, my experience too with different products. And the weird thing: with digital it’s even easier. It’s just a copy of software you already possess. It’s not like they need to send you a bar of gold. I can imagine it might be a bit tricky with activation and registration. I have no idea how that works on their side. They might have to bring you into their systems as a special type of customer. That might cost them some time in setting it up. But they will not be harmed in a serious way financially, once that is running. And he could have explained all that (okay, we’re looking into this, but that might also take a bit of time…).
I guess by now they will have figured out they need some kind of backup for this type of situation anyway, cause it’s harming their reputation. Even if MS is fully to blame.
I would do it like this: tell you to register as a customer, give you a one time discount code (they have the ‘voucher’ field), so the price = zero. Then let you ‘buy’ it.
If activation permits it, throw you out as a customer afterwards.
There is a bit of trust involved I suppose: making sure you’re not using the voucher to ‘buy’ something else and then wait for MS to fix it ![]()
And obviously only if you can prove you bought the product through MS.
It gets worse. They have just banned me for down voting on there comments.
But their arrogance and patronising manner is astonishing they told me I have anger management issues and I must cool down before I will be allowed to post again. Looks like it’s Kok by name and Kok by nature too.
What a shower of excrement.
I’m off to see my anger management therapist now.
Wow, that’s really ridiculous. I didn’t see any out-of-bounds text on that forum. Just because you down voted one of his posts?? I guess he has some kind of personality disorder. Or more likely: they just want to get rid of you - you, with your outrageous ideas they help you out - and that voting excuse is some kind of silly pretense. Get you out before you stir the crowd into a revolution.
Turns out I actually have an account with them. Ordered REX for FSX a few years ago. I will try to avoid them from now on. It sucks though there’s not more competition in this field. Some other developer with an equal CRJ… it leaves people with no choice and this ■■■■■■ behavior gets rewarded anyway.
They just banned me because I downvoted against their posts and then had the audacity to tell me I have anger management issues and I need to calm down.
What a terrible company run by arrogant rude patronising individuals that have no idea about serving customers let alone the flight simulation community.
Yep strange behavior. Posted a rather nice and - in my opinion - helpful post that indeed it’s MS issue with the marketplace CRJ (since direct purchases seem all to install properly) not installing at all as acknowledged by MS/Asobo already, giving advice
- to file a zendesk support ticket
- request an Xbox refund
- Vote here AS CRJ bought via MSFS marketplace causes instant CTDs and
- wait for MS
And even that post not only got locked but deleted altogether
I see both Market place and Aerosoft losing together.
Market place breaks stuff and Aerosoft, well they say it all rudely , they don’t care.
I’ll avoid both !!
Sent ya a tag in another thread. May be of interest.
They now provide a tool that will help them figure this out on the Aerosoft Forums.
I can’t help them because they banned me for voting against them. They call voting against them abusive. They will mock your mental health if you dare to criticise them.
They are toxic and poison the Flight Sim community with their bitterness and hatred.
