Hello, this is related to FG. I have 4070S with 64Gb RAM still it happens at heavy airports with FSLTL on. What I do is just press alt + enter two times, it gets resolved. Another trick is it to pan slowly once it’s resolved otherwise it may happen again. OR better I turn off the AI Traffic.

Yes FG is on. I am not using FSLTL. What airport you are using? I will check it with my settings. I would supose to turn off AI traffic if you are using FSLTL.

Same here since last week, unable to fly anymore.

OH WOW!! I just used the Nvidia app to load the latest as you suggested, and I have just had my first flight EVER where i didn’t have to keep changing settings or turning off FG!! hopefully this is now no longer an issue  (i have a 4070Ti)

EDIT:: Nope its back to the mad stuttering again

Frame gen random bug and flicker… I don’t know why nothing happening for solving this issue.

I have tried almost everything like reinstalling sim , all drivers, reinstalling windows . What else i should do to not get this bug..

In addition my VRAM is around 11K when this happens. I have way more VRAM than required . Have tried with and without NVIDIA APP, Used DLSS Swapper with and without NVIDIA APP, check any possibility.

Tried with and without addons. Tried with community folder empty as well.

What fixed it for me was installing the 310.1 DLSS with DLSS Swapper instead of the latest 310.2.1, for both DLSS and DLSS frame generation. When I’m using 310.2.1 I have the stutterfest. If you are using 310.2.1 you may want to try it.

Edit: Scratch that, worked for a while but the stutters returned. Have to use AMD FSR3 until it’s fixed.

When i choose AMD FSR3 it causes CTD for me. Also wierd stutters starts :sad_but_relieved_face:

It did that for me too before I installed the latest AMD FSR3 dll with DLL Swapper. Now I can use it.

Still get stutters and extreme flickering with SU2 final when panning the camera around with FG on my Lenovo Legion 5 with an RTX 4060 and Intel i9-14900HX.

Basically, to stop it in my case, I have to turn off DLSS and FG and go back to TAA AA.

My performance is silky smooth and in ANY aircraft, any scenery the FPS 1/2 LIKE CLOCKWORK around 50 ft above the runway.

Why is this happening, is it the same issue as is being described above?

After turning on FG restart the sim. I also have extreme flickering when turning on FG if I don’t restart the sim. Started happening with one of the latest drivers, used to be able to enable FG without having to restart the sim, but not now. Try that.

I found a fix that works for me. I do not believe this is related to DLSS or FG but how the sim manages multiple monitors. Changing the DLSS or FG settings just exaggerates the problem. It still happens without AA / FG.

See here for a possible solution: For anyone struggling with 'stuttery flickering' using head tracking in SU2

This is how multi monitors behave on nvidia drivers now. Give this a shot also guys. Nvidia driver team is really doing a horrible job since last year. NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 576.40 Discussion - #54 by DrewmorKuZy Last great driver was 537.58 and everything went downwards after that with undocumented changes, 24H2 etc. Have a lovely positive weekend you all.

edit: And there is one more workaround if you guys on 24H2 and using chromium based browsers/apps etc NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 576.28 Discussion - #26 by DrewmorKuZy

Haven’t been getting any of Extreme flickering and stuttering with Frame Generation with an external monitor with 576.40 and SU3 beta, hmm.

So im a year in and still cant use MSFS202o with all this crazy stuff, to say i’m dissapointed seeing as I spaffed about £2000 on hardware for an unplayable game is an understatement, at this point im just looking for options, all I want to do is fly pretend airbuses on the vatsim network. so
1, does FS2024 still do this?
2, is there a way to make DX11 work in 2020 without a stright CTD (im told that does not stutter)
3, is Xplane any good? does that work?
4, any one got any other ideas??

cheers!

Unfortunately 2024 was pretty good for me with even my 2060 super and now on 5060ti it was even better, but as of recent NVidia/Windows/SU2 updates I’m seeing this where any frame gen is completely unplayable.

thanks for the info! my next question was going to be wether a 5 series card would make it all better! think you just saved me a lot of money. When I bought my hardware i thought there would be a couple of days of tweaking to get it all working as I wanted, but no, it’s an epic quest for stutter free life!

I also have the same issues in MSFS2020. Everything runs fine until landing, where if I were to pan the views, it starts flickering very badly, even on good specs which are,
Ryzen 5 5600X
RTX 4060 8GB VRAM on the latest driver version
I just hope with SU16 update coming soon for MSFS2020, these performance issues are fixed along with the CTD on startup with DX11 on the latest drivers.

I am hoping for some help here if able. I am beyond my wits end with this issue and cannot figure it out. Since Sim Update 2 I have had this awful issue with ground textures. I have zero issues with performance until the last 5NM into landing when this issue appears. This issue will cause the Sim to rapidly accelerate almost looking like a treadmill underneath me. The aircraft remains at the set airspeed until becoming unresponsive and slamming into the ground.

There is several things that I have tried including lowering settings, turning off terrain mapping and none of these have fixed the issue.

This issue was not present in Sim Update 1. I have not been able to do a successful flight since the launch of Sim Update 2.

I have an RTX4090.
