F-16 by SC Design

Hi Severus! Good catches on all points, wing tank pylons now fixed, livery issue is I think due to some components drawing from both D and I model textures - I can investigate this for a future update.

Will check the I model’s ANQ visibility - in real life, the I does not carry that sensor ( it’s all internal ) but I may just enable it anyway otherwise it causes confusion.

Thanks for the detailed feedback!

Looks like somebody forgot to tighten a bolt!

Will check for it soon and reposition, if it’s still there.

Crawford Brothers are awesome. I keep going back to planes trying to figure out which ones I love best, the F-14, the F-15, or the F-16. I know it starts with an F. Currently am flying the Eagle.

Taking it through the A5 pass in Snowdonia, this plane is breathtaking

Hi, hiding the stick by clicking on the warning panel doesn’t seem to work in vr but does in 2D mode. Also how do you move the heading bug ? I have searched in the cockpit and read the manual but cannot find a way to do it.
Thanks for any help.

The HDG and CRS bug knobs are both on the main HSI panel, at the bottom below the main artificial horizon. Not sure about the stick vanishing in VR, I’m pretty sure it does here but VR got itself some bugs after SU7 so maybe it’s been broken since then. Down to Asobo, that one

Is it possible to remove the extrem “shakiness” of the plane when i fly at really high speeds with auto rudder on? The F22 Mod has the same “Problem”. I didnt noticed the same behavior on the F18 with autorudder on.

I just now thought to check, but thanks guys for putting the PNGs into the Paint_Kit folder.

Also - the fun factor of this plane continues to be off-the-charts.

Thanks Severus!

The bump maps on the C and D were held off due to the use of decals. I will put them back on to see how they look before the next update.

The F-16I metallic and bumps for the CFT tanks appear to not be applied, so I will put them on also.

The canopy glass on the D and I does look a little dark actually, so they will be lightened also.

Cheers :+1:

Got all my VR stuff working smoothly, and just want to say I am totally amazed! I loved this jet before, but now it’s just fantastic! Thank you so much!

hi! just to be clear and be able to reproduce it on my end. Only happens with autorudder on? Have you activated something else like the autopilot, etc?

Hey guys, i just did this piece.
Is there a possibility for the birds of DC&SC Designs to implement or colaborate with the modder that gave the carrier crew functionality with the F/A-18 ?
@superspud already made all his worldwide carriers, capable of properly launching and landing with the F/A18 Warrior model.
I was wondering…If it is possible,it will be a joy !!

No, no other helps are on, no autopilot.

Thats the note from the F22

For the F-16? The -16 is not a carrier fighter (there’s a longer back-story there involving the Navy’s demand for a two-engine fighter that ultimately resulted in the F/A-18 but I digress …). Integrating it for the Tomcats would be cool but probably worth discussing in the F-14 thread.

Ahem…Have you checked OUR F16 or you haven’t purchased it?
It HAS an aresting hook. That’s why i’m saying, what i’m saying

I understand, it is an automated assistance and as such requires an adjustment in the PID values. I’ll check it out, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the actual handling of the airplane. Anyway, can I ask you what advantages are you getting with using autorudder compared to turning it off?

Sometimes the plane just moves slowly to the left or right when i set it to off.

I understand, it corrects the deviations due to wind or gyroscopic drift

It’s mostly helpful with Warbirds (for us who have any) cause they are a pain in the @ when taxiing,if you don’t have rudder pedals
