I confirm that if you already own FlightControlReplay v4.5, it is still working, it is still yours, and you can keep doing with it what it’s made for. FCR5 is not a fix for an issue, it’s not a reskin of the same code.
As I wrote earlier, FCR 4.5 has been enhanced over 10 years for one fee, and a small one. Various simulators support have been added at no cost on top of that. I did those upgrades free of charge, already.
You could also notice that existing users do not even pay half of the base price. Think about FSX users who own their tool since 2012. They get FCR5 for 8.25 Euros… that’s like 1 cheap book, 1 dessert in restaurant. Try to see the things from another point of view, you are not “dimed all the time”. You actually chose to use paid products. In my country, if I feel I’m dimed all the time when I’m on the highway, I take the next exit.
Like many simmers, we’re all happy with the release of the 40th Anniversary edition of Microsoft Flight Simulator, thanks to the new aircraft and with the Sim Update 11 enhancements as well.
The other good news is that FlightControlReplay 5 is also directly compatible with your updated version of MSFS.
There is one downside though : your new helicopters are not permitted for use with the LiveGhost feature, and in PlayAI mode. The way they are coded does not allow me to do it for now. But, if you are a lucky owner of the HPG 145 for example, that’s not a default helicopter, this one works OK to create your replays or to enjoy a flying companion.

Having just purchased this software based on some of the reviews, I must say that I am extremely disappointed. Firstly, when playing back a flight, its stutters all over the place, plus according to the reviews and information, once back on the RW all settings should be set as per your original flight, No they are not! Also when climbing out, on the recording it’s showing the left side of the speed brakes deployed. Everything in the flight deck is not the same as the recorded flight. The other issue I have, is how the heck do you view the recorded files as an MP4? The reviews say you can, but I might be missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

aircraft settings incorrect : If you are using an advanced airliner like PMDG or Fenix, first, reload a new flight to reinitialize your plane. Now you can load the replay, and FCR controls correctly the flight surfaces, gears, thrust reversers…
If you want to produce a MP4 file out of a recording flight, here’s the procedure :
load the replay
click on the red camera to activate the MP4 rendering
start to play
At the end of the rendering, the MP4 rendering button will return red.
I’m thinking of buying FCR v5 but have a couple of questions first.
The reason I want a replay tool is to take cinematic video of flights and then add music later. I can see that you can save a replay as an MP4 but does it record what’s on the screen playing i.e. If i’m outside viewing the plane, or does it save it as the original replay file i.e. while inside the plane?
I want to perfect the cinematic footage before saving as an mp4. Is that even possible?
Lastly, anyone know where I can get the manual so I can have a look? All the websites that have a link to the User Manual have a broken link, so I can’t download it.
I just want to have a read before I buy it if possible.
Also, is the tool compatible with all aircraft? I’ll mainly be using it with GA aircraft like the Milviz 310R and Cessna 172.
For Cinematic video you can record replay file and replay as you want changing camera views and also if you want choose camera view to rotatate automatically .

Yes replay will work with all aircraft (but the flaps, elevator, ailerons and some internal cockpit switch replay will work for sure for some 3rd parties plane and all Default plane included in MSFS) .
But i l always upgrade under the hood the compatibility for support new planes when released

Yes you can ! You can record your flight (also when you are in VR, you have MSFS toolbar integration for FCR , you can see FCR v5 icon in Toolbar and here you have all relevant commands for start stop replay, start live ghost , slider, and lot more directly into in-game toolbar ! without use FCR external app) .
Fantastic Replay !!! FCR and PMDG , right ? I see spoilers and ailerons and flaps moving ! I remember all that FCR v5 is compatible with PMDG and Fenix also (and compatible with default aircraft you find in MSFS obviously) .
For Replay a flight with PMDG and Fenix i advice record your session and after go to the main menu , return into the runway choosing a scenario that you want and when PMDG and FENIX re-initialize itself (and reinitialize all custom system) , Load from FCR your Replay … and enjoy it !

Would be possible when in VR in the toolbar app, to open a recorded flight file inside the app and not to have to go to the desktop after you press load in the tollbar app to select the replay file?

For this unfortunatelly LOAD dialog is from Windows , and not always is showed when you using VR mode. But if you use the appropriete option in FCR Option Window you can stop record and the system automatically load last record session recorded

Restart a new flight from the main menu of Microsoft Flight Simulator. This will reinitialize all your aircraft systems and animated parts status.
Load the replay file of your recorded flight.
Now, instead of only promises, watch the following demonstrations made by customers just like you who managed to replay the full animations of flaps, gears, spoilers etc of their PMDG 737 during landing or takeoff in MSFS !
Hello all, i have noticed that once i want to load a saved flight, the FPS are very slow, is there a way to improve this on the settings?
additionally, i also noticed that the replay speed is somehow slower to the original flight, is this normal? btw i am not adjusting any speed on the menu.
it depends from the FPS on your machine , if it goeas up and down and are not stable the best thing is fix (from FCR Option) a FPS value for record .
But anyway you can adjust the FPS from the FCR Options, accordingly with the FPS you reach usually with your machine .
