FPS loss after period of play

Hi All,

I am noticing an FPS loss of around 10+ plus FPS after a period of play and not sure why.

For example I start at EGKK with around 35fps and continue to have solid FPS but when I go to the return leg and land back at EGKK its cut by almost 10fps

This morning I started the sim and just left the airplane at the gate to test this and again without doing anything I seem to lose FPS.

It’s not unplayable by any means but I find it strange

Yeah, i can confim that. I have not yet encountered it while acutally flying. Maybe my flights are just too short.
But i encountered it when i had the sim on pause for a few hours, or when i just let the plane sit at the gate for a few hours.

EDIT: There are a few threads about that already, its mabe best to searrch for an existing one and add your experience or vote on it.

Decreasing performance throughout long flights since SU5

Anyone else seeing this? Every time I try a flight of more than an hour or three, I experience continuing decrease of GFX performance throughout the flight. At the start, everything is smooth and nice, but as the flight goes on I see the cockpit panning becoming more and more jerky. Happens in both planes I fly - TBM 930 and FlyByWire A32NX. This has been a problem for a year now and there are quite a lot of topics on this already.

I fixed it once myself by toggling the AI traffic and in another instance by toggling nameplates during flight.

Poor performance as time goes on

Hello! I’m hoping someone could help resolve this issue for me, I’ve been having it since prior SU5 and also during SU5. My simulator seems to lose performance as time goes on, especially from the two and a half hour mark onwards whilst flying. I can go from 50FPS on takeoff to nearly 15/20FPS whilst at cruise some two and a half hours later, with no clouds around or anything. A check of my usage shows CPU at 37% utilisation, and GPU at 38% utilisation. My RAM is well within its limits, so it’…

Low frames and GPU% during long haul

Currently on a flight from CYYZ to VHHH using the 787 Heavy mod. Tried this flight yesterday and noticed as I was passing over the artic, I lost all my frames. The flight was extremely stuttery, so I decided to end the flight and started again this morning. 8 hours in, and I’m having the same issue. Frames are at 3fps and gpu% is at 20. I do notice once I pause, fps is back up again…weird. I’m using the 787 heavy mod with the simbrief integration. Anyone have a fix for the fps loss? Thanks.

I would say Asobo should be aware by now with all these topics.

Hopefully they will fix it soon. Maybe it’s better to start a new topic in the bugs and issue section so we can vote on it.

When it happens switch the weather to clear skies for about 5 secs and back to live…happens to me sometimes. It seems the earther builds some type of recurring log somewhere that needs a quick flush…give that a try

Weather is a big contributor to fos drops on long hauls…switch weather to clear skies for 5 secs and back to live and it almost always gains all fps back!
