FSLTL - FS Live Traffic Liveries is live!

At Chicago Midway (KMDW) and only have parked aircraft, like 3 of them. Injector is showing pretty much all of the aircraft at Chicago O’Hare (KORD). Anyone have any ideas on this?

I did start a flight at KORD and traffic injected fine, with pushbacks, departures, etc. Injector showed pretty much all aircraft at KORD, so that was great.

I’m just not sure why nothing is showing at KMDW! I think I read that the injector will inject the planes closet within 200km, but if I’m actually AT KMDW, wouldn’t that airport take priority for injection?

As a test, I started with 80 IFR. Then I bumped it to 300 to see if maybe that would create more density at KMDW. Nothing still.

Thanks for any tips!

Have you tried the reset?

Hi Brag
No - its all set to off/zero

A lot of injected aircraft are on airports in a certain range. In your list are just a few aicrafts actually in LOWW. An how long do you wait? And how much parked aircraft have you setup.

Now I found an old bug from MSFS, that FSLTL could not solve: If there is an airport with incorrect holding points then the traffic will not start. The planes will taxi to the runway, but they will wait and wait and wait and never take off. Look here in Vienna - LOWW:

You can try hitting the remove nearby traffic button to clear stuff like that away in proximity to your aircraft. It’s in the toolbar.

My suggestions to FSLTL:

In principle, a nice tool. The idea of taking the live data and producing flight plans from it, which the planes are then to fly off, sounds impressive at first. Unfortunately, FSLTL can not correct the errors in the SDK concerning the traffic.

Therefore one has also with FSLTL partly the same problems which one has also with the Live Trafic of MSFS and namely: At airports where the holding points have not been set correctly so far and thus prevented aircraft from taking off, FSLTL aircraft do not take off either. Rather, they taxi into the takeoff position and linger there. Therefore, it happens that several aircraft are then there at once.

FSLTL has solved the going-around problem well: According to my research, the aircraft turn into the aerodrome circuit and attempt another landing.

But there is another problem in FSLTL: After about one hour the injector goes into emergency running mode. A manual nudging by means of the MSFS built-in function “Reset Traffic Injection” then becomes necessary.

Unfortunately, it shows that no tool can ever function properly without a fundamental repair of the traffic functions by MS or Asobo.

No, that is a problem of the Holding points. They are not set correctly on some airports. And then planes with a set flight plan, they can not take off. Asobo has to repair that. Otherwise no tool ever will work properly.

Even with the problems Mauflo12961 had adequately defined, for me, I no longer have flights at 500 feet.
Great addon, and for me it is enough for a job Asobo worked not properly. IMHO.
Greetings to all

The on-ground performance is a lot better if you’re departing from an airport where jetliners aren’t located or normally based out of. The fps drops a lot departing somewhere busy like KBOS.

Reducing blocked aircraft TTE (time to expire) from default 240 to a lower value like 30 also unsnarls the eventual traffic jam as everyone lemmings to the active.

The fps issue for some reason seems less apparent for me in the evening hours relative to my time zone. That doesn’t really make much technical sense as the injector is local and the only possible dependence is my connection to the flight service tracking. Nonetheless, it is a user experience.

I did reinstate the API key so IFR traffic follows IFR routing. Not clear yet if this is really impacting performance, need more time in cockpit to say for sure.

One thing I’m curious about is if the Installer will increment Base Models rather than pushing down whole new packages at a time. That would be a good approach.

Well you must have missed PSXT. Airports were already fully live from the beginning two years ago.

I flew Düsseldorf-Gran Canaria an hour ago and enroute there was nearly no traffic but flightradar24 was full. After landing in gclp there was for more than 20 Minutes no landing but in fr24 more than 5 . I´m not convinced

With both ST and FSLTL installed, Settings set for ST, not FSLTL, and no FSLTL injection I get a mix of planes:

  • Pointy nose and other models for equipment found in Asobo or non-FSLTL community aircraft folders
  • FSLTL round nose models for equipment not found in Asobo or other community aircraft folders

So, at the moment All I have Installed is FSLTL Traffic Injector and AIG, I’m already seeing a good amount of traffic @ the Gates, Holding Short, taking off and landing.

But I’m confused about something, Is FSLTL Traffic injector meant to be installed by itself or must the FSLTL Traffic Base Models be Installed together with FSLTL Traffic Injector.

Interesting, but I think I’ll pass. I just can’t stand looking at the default pointed noses any longer.

Same issue. Tried different major airports (EHAM / KMIA) throughout today, but very little to no movement

Spent too much time messing around with it already. Gonna just uninstall and move on. Maybe in the next few weeks or months if they fix things I’ll give it another look.

Am I doing something wrong? I’m not seeing anything. Just flew around the Bay Area for a good hour to verify at different airports.

  • Base models installed
  • Sim started, injector launched and successfully connected, showing IFR and VFR traffic injecting at various nearby airports
  • Flying around with Live and AI traffic OFF but players ON and I see a bunch of nameplates from players, but zero aircraft without plates, either on the ground or in the air

No idea what I’m doing wrong here. No other traffic mod is being used.

Also tried sitting at KSJC and KSFO to watch for a bit. Only saw other players (and apparently the A320 now leaves ridiculous smoke trails?

My main goal is to get fairly busy traffic, especially VFR. The Bay Area is usually slammed with IFR and VFR traffic according to FR24. While flying, KSQL and KPAO showed fairly full patterns from the various schools and clubs operating there. But zilch in the sim.
