Great Update!

Reset your mouse controller profile, that fixes this

Yes, it’s in the Release Notes as a “Known Issue” therefore it’s a Bug that needs to be fixed ASAP, end of story.

OK< but mouse not working at all in VR is a bit different to not being able to click the toolbar. Not saying they don’t need to fix it, but it’s a pretty easy fix right now.

To all of you who say that thanks for the update and that it is going very fine and that it is going great, you are those people who play at low quality at 1080P because the reality is that there is a drop in FPS AND worse quality and stuttering. no problem

Once you get more experience with flight simming, you’ll come to understand this how every sim is. You sometimes spend that same amount of time tweaking, as you do actually flying. Hang in there, it’ll get easier.

Just do the work around for now, and enjoy the game, is my advice to you. Don’t get hung up on little things in life, and you’ll be much happier.

Casual gamer because we don’t use VR or TrackIR is a very stupid statement.

I have VR and hands down prefer non VR.

Same, I dont class myself as a cauual “gamer”, I dont use VR, ..but bieve me I am a hardcore simmer. I recently posted on a thread supporting people who use VR.

Cheers

the updates are getting progressively better for me starting with update 5. Where once I was anxious about a new update coming, I now look forward to them.
I also noticed there is decidedly less talk about CTDs or sim not loading talk in the forums.

Excellent update for me as well!

I use VR it has it beautiful and wow moments but doesn’t come near 2D 4K as far as visuals go. I hope we’re not too far away from seeing the quality of 2D in VR

Its not that, I got VR years ago when GPU 1080 as released. I just cant deal with the motion sickness, as much as I have tried I am in my 40s my friend in his 70s only uses VR.

Thankfully is good for me too, there’s a few settings to sort out, make my track ir smooth again, testing metar weather locally, dx12 seems to be running fine maybe a few frames less than dx11.. overall positive update once options sorted.

Ah got it. Interesting yea I used to get motion sickness in the beginning but I’m so used to it now as I fly in VR 97% of the time.

Yea that could be very true Microsoft i dont trust them

No worries about any offence. None taken. My flights have been limited to pretty clear conditions and I’m not looking up the METARs. It was purely based on my initial impressions. I do think the haze needs to be addressed. But it’s not as bad for me. Maybe it’s just these old eyes. I’m in it for the long haul and hope the sim will continue to improve. Enjoy the skies. Cheers.

LOL… I’m into flight simming since Flight Simulator 1 back in the 80ies, and also designed some freeware content later, mainly for Flight Sim 4 and 5. So I guess I have some experience.

Maybe nowadays people are getting used to that their software is partially broken each month or so with every update, but I will not get used to that, sorry.
OTOH there were not much updates (besides content) in older versions, the software was released in a ready status then.

FS2020 is a fantastic simulator, but sometimes I’m wondering if the creators use it at all. Otherwise those glaring useability issues and obvious inconsistencies would not be there.

It’s a good update but still a little buggy … Trying to load Zurich into manual cache with the new airport included caused a CTD after which spawning on the runway my Arrows III had a mind of it’s own because all my hard assistance settings had changed to easy. Once sorted I still had the rudder recentering bug which took a recalibration and a system restart to fix.

Finally I’m back to normal but I can’t help but wonder what will break next :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Were you in the beta or how do you that, for example TrackIR bug, wasn’t reported during the beta phase?

TrackIR is probably broken because of Tobii eye tracker. There were many voices that wanted Tobii support. Asobo fulfilled the wish and broke TrackIR in the process. My TrackIR is broken too, I can still live with it for now. Is beautiful? No! Can you still fly? Yes! TrackIR will be fixed and Tobii users will be happy. Win win! All it takes is time and patience.
