I thought it’s accepted that the best way to close MSFS is Alt-F4
From launch to release of SU3 zero. Since SU3 nearly every flight has had CTD. Got better for a while with the patch but has since become more prevalent as had started flying more again since the patch.
Out of curiosity are you flying 2D or Vr ?
2D, I do not have VR googles yet
I only fly VR and crashes every time could be 10 to 30min into flight
ZERO-0-0 (0) for me.
@willisxdc, I think I have that disabled, but just in case, can you remind me where to find the setting? Thanks…
@WildcatMango783, they frequently are, even if they’re otherwise stable. My OCs seem to be OK with MSFS, but it’s a finicky beast. OCs can and do cause CTDs, but a lot of people don’t want to hear that, as they’re absolutely sure their CTD problem is Asobo’s fault, not that of their rig.
Tune down my oc just a bit and I haven’t had a CTD in a few days now.
Zero during flights, but around 3 during loading (that are taking toooooo long time those days) in about 100 flights.
Crash to desktop
The program crashes, defaults, ends without warning.
@FormableCorgi45 any idea what that means?
None that I recall, but I am also not running anything mod wise other than a few gliders.
Many threads end up closed because CTD was caused by a single mod or users trying to run 100+GB of custom world data.
@willisxdc, thanks, and I’m glad I asked because I did not have it disabled. I did but I had to reinstall windows (like 6 times) a month and a half ago or so, and hadn’t gotten around to doing this. I also had a power plan called “Extreme” or something like that which required a specific command to be entered in the powershell, but I’ve completely forgotten what it was. Well, I didn’t forget, I never knew, I just followed the instructions in a YouTube video that I either didn’t bookmark, or did, but now I can’t find it. (The downside of having too many bookmarks.)
Any chance you know what that is, or where I can find the video?
EDIT: Nevermind, I found it here.
If it was the servers everybody should have the problem. The only thing we don’t have in common are our computers (either software or hardware). We maybe have different Windows versions, drivers, hardware, or mods. So the problems must be related to those factors we don’t have in common.
Every CTD I’ve experienced has to do with certain community folder mods simply not wanting to work.
Not a single crash otherwise
I’ve never had a CTD in Microsoft Flight Simulator… not once.
I had no singel CTD since release. Win 10 ssd i5 86k at 4.5 ghz 32 gb ram 1080ti ms store version with some stuff inside the community folder
Not everyone is using the same server at any given time.
