Do you have issues with it, though? Like I said, works fine on my end. The startup and takeoff video I posted up there was recorded with SU10 (release version, I didn’t pariticpate in the beta).
Here it is the post:
Everything else works fine too, including STOVL and hover. That’s with the F-35B. I don’t use the A and C variants much.
The only complaint I have so far is the very rough animations of the engine, air intakes etc. I actually have no problems so far except for that. Is there a helmet mounted head up display to turn on?
But actually I do have an issue accept for the Rough animation:
The plane is sort of shaking sideways in a very static way (not Air bumps) when in higher speeds. I have also seen the throttle handle going up and down when trying to move the throttle on my joystick. Not sure if the aircraft is in some automated mode or if this is a bug…
In the IFE F-35 (and some other fly-by-wire-planes like the default A320 and the F-117) I have been experiencig some kind of “near-touchdown-wing-drop”-effect.
I could get rid of this behaviour by setting the “fly_by_wire_from_flaps” value to “1”. (in the “flight-model.cfg”-file)
According to the SDK-Documentation, this param has been introduced with SU10 and manages something i dont understand (load factor hold mode ???) below 50ft. I can’t tell if there’s any other side effects, but for now I can land the plane normally again like before, without having a temporary loss of controls (joystick not responding) for 2 seconds or so every time shortly before touchdown.
i am no expert has i never seen one in real life or normal HMD, but from what i remember in DCS which they always try to make as per what exists (form the last time i flown in it since a while) the way they made it in the F-35 acts like a normal HMD, it goes away as you look in front, while part of the HMD overlays the HUD then disapear. The prob in the F-35 is, it is made as a normal HMD, if it would be like the F-35 sight i think, first we would need pitch ladder on the HMD view as we have not now, so we cannot get rid of the HUD as symbology are splitted according to normal HMD on 4th gens etc… unless i might be wrong
Did the STVOL activation button binding change? Wing Lights isn’t activating it for me. Joystick or keyboard. Hover with autopilot heading hold works on joystick.
I just started getting into MSFS2020 (Coming from a DCS background) and I’m having a frustrating time trying to map buttons to my HOTAS (Warthog). I’ve managed to find the corresponding labels for “Battery Switch”, “Engine/Motor Switch” and “Engine Starter” but can’t seem to locate the “Integrated Power Package (IPP)”, Inverter/Controller/Converter 1 (ICC1) Switch", “Inverter/Controller/Converter 2 (ICC2) Switch” and the “Cabin Pressurization Control Knob.”
Does anyone have a list of the bindable functions and their corresponding labels within MSFS2020? I checked the F35 manual and it only lists the SVTOL/Hook label but I couldn’t find the rest. Basically I’m trying to utilize my HOTAS to control most if not all functions to be as mouseless as possible! Any help will be greatly appreciated! o7
Alita.
UPDATE: These are the buttons I’ve managed to map -
SET FUEL DUMP SWITCH - Switches Fuel Dump on/off on Fuel Portal
SET ENGINE 1 FUEL VALVE - Switches MFSOV on/off on Fuel Portal
SET MASTER BATTERY - Switches Battery on/off on lower left IPP panel
SET ALTERNATOR - Switches IPP, ICC1 & ICC2 on (no off though doesn’t seem to be a work around).
TOGGLE MASTER IGNITION SWITCH - Toggles Engine Norm/Motor switch on/off
SET STARTER 1 (HOLD) - IPP rotary switch to START to start engine
RETRACT or EXTEND SPOILERS - Air Brake out/in
AUTO PILOT HEADING HOLD - Hover mode on touch screen.
TOGGLE LANDING LIGHTS, PARKING BRAKE & LANDING GEAR (self explanatory)
Thanks for this, I will have to give it a try. I was just running into this issue when doing low level near Monument Valley. Since it was so flat I was getting really low and its like my controls are locked out. No roll, no pitch - until either the ground moves away or I hit it. Full aft stick at 400kts produced around 3 degrees of pitch over the few seconds I was trying to pull over a hill.
Edit: Seems I don’t have that file in the Microsoft Version. It shows up in search for the Asobo aircraft but nothing for the F-35
In the past, we received updates within a week but not more than that. For example, the developer of the vision Jet sent a new version to Microsoft sometime last week and this past Thursday, we received it. I don’t understand why the F-35 update didn’t make it on this past Thursday.
I have my theories. Marketplace exclusives might be fast tracked. Anyway, as annoying as it is, Xbox updates are always delayed. Even compared to PlayStation. But every Thursday, I have a few planes to update.
