It's not all Gloom. I had a Great Flight in the C172!

Sure, I’m not here to deny there is, and will be, frustration with this new sim. I have mine.

However, after 6 hours of Tom Foolery and configuration, I was able to make a flight from KPRB to KSBP in the C172.

I learned that rebooting the sim is a no-no!

I figured out a workaround for Tobii: How to get Tobii & MSFS 2024 to Work Together - Discussion Hub / Tools & Utilities - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

I figured out some of the basics of the control mapping: 2024 Controls Interface Discussion - Discussion Hub / General Discussion - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums

I got SimHaptic updated and motivating my Buttkicker Gamer Pro to shake this here sim rig.

As in the Tech Alpha, the 172 is great on the ground and flies beautifully! The scenery here in the Central Coast of California has never looked better. I love the new ATC voices (the window, not so much: ATC Window is More Frustrating - Discussion Hub / General Discussion - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums)

I am now going to embark on my Career in Aviation with Career Mode.

Hang in there, fellow pilots!

I too enjoyed a flight in the C172, once I adjusted controller settings.
It’s a new interface and will take time to adjust.
The aircraft did feel great with ground handling.
I just took a quick scenic flight around my home city to compare against MS2020.

The highways/roads still leave a lot for improvement for example

Now to figure out how to download my content from MS2020, I downloaded the installer.
