Just Flight

Orbx pricing is a bit different. They always have at least one SALE per month with anywhere from 20% to 40% off. Sometimes the same Orbx items simultaneously will be on sale at the marketplace, but not always. The rule of thumb with Orbx is always wait for the next sale.

Just Flight on the other hand have less " fire sales" for MSFS products but have a user loyalty points system and offer nice discounts for owners of related products.

However the biggest difference between stores for the same product is offer related to currency exchange rates. If one store is selling in Euro and the other in US Dollars the relative pricing can go up and down almost weekly. If you factor in paypal fees for the marketplace it can often be quite expensive.

Warrior due out this week and will pick it up. I do hope they will release the Archer TX/LX sometime in the coming months. That was my go-to airplane when I was using X-Plane. The Archer III would be nice as well.

I might be interested in the Archer III but I’d give a pass on the TX/LX. Not fond of glass panel aircraft that started life with steam gauges.

More interested in a Comanche or a Cherokee 6 to be honest. Though I will jump on the Warrior when it comes out.

A Cherokee Six would be great. Used to love flying the Twin Comanche from Eaglesoft in FSX.

Hoping they can start bringing their stuff to the msfs marketplace. My days of keeping up with various 3rd party installers, websites and logins are over. Did that in FSX, XP11 and P3D, tired of it.

Idc if the updates and releases come later, having everything in one place is worth it to me. If anyone has any news on this front, that would be appreciated. Otherwise I’m gonna hold off on buying their stuff. Love their products tho.

I am the other way not a fan of the marketplace at all.

Not sure about Just Flight but quite a few developers have stated they have no intention of bringing out Marketplace or Xbox versions.

I suspect Just Flight will get around to it eventually though, the XBox market for the JF stuff will be huge.

Seeing the way MS has treated the Marketplace I wouldn’t blame any dev who didn’t want to touch it with a 10ft bargepole.

I remember reading (I think on this forum) that JustFlight’s policy is to limit the sale of new releases to their own webstore. After a while every release makes it to partner stores, including MSFS marketplace.

Apparently they submitted back in early august, but the Pipers have yet to appear in the store. The marketplace overall has been a bit of a dumpster fire, though ms/Asobo seem aware of it.

I bought the Arrow & Turbo Arrow directly from JustFlight and very glad i did; when I did have a small problem I used their support website and had a solution within a few hours.

Just Flight prices their aircraft a bit above everyone else, but the quality of their products, realism, attention to detail, support for the product, and customer support totally justify it.

Just to confirm our Arrows are now with MS for placement onto the marketplace, they were sent originally around six weeks ago. That’s where the good news ends (for now). They finally got round to looking to expedite them onto the marketplace but since we have received a number of bug reports from them, all of which we are unable to recreate internally and the majority have never been reported or noticed by the thousands of users who are out there who have bought from us and are enjoying flying the plane(s).

We are trying to work out what’s going on here but we’re also flat-out trying to get the Hawk T1/A complete and ready for sale for MSFS so it’s not going to be anytime soon it would seem before the Arrows hit the marketplace. We are just trying to prioritise various projects right now.

Yes we look to sell exclusively from our website at launch and we try and keep it that way for a month to six weeks. We’ll then offer our products out to third parties and in this instance that will include MS and the marketplace, it’s just unfortunate we were met with SU5 about the same time we supplied for the marketplace. That and the fact the Arrows contain so much custom code seem to be the leading reasons why it’s all got so complicated right now. We’re on the case and continue to try and get the Arrows sorted and cleared for the Marketplace.

Would you mind listing / clarifying which other third party platforms the Arrow is currently available on? I’ve seen it on Contrails I think. Will it be on Orbx, or the new Aerosoft One thing?

Considering the state of some stuff MS has let on the Marketplace I’m shocked to discover they test anything.

Sad to read but I honestly don’t understand why the Arrow should have other or more bugs delivered via the marketplace. Does that make sense that a plane via marketplace would be buggy while the same plane via dev store would not be?

Bug == JF Arrow is making Carenado’s arrow look bad.

I’ve defended Carenado’s arrow a bunch given the two price points but their recent responses to customers and bugs leads me to believe something funny is going on.

Hard to believe otherwise given the show the marketplace is putting on. I can hardly come up with any other plausibe explanation.

Difficult to believe that looking grossly incompetent or intentionally wrecking the marketplace is the plan. Whatever the end game of the marketplace seems to be, it’s not looking to become a reliable and attractive platform. Which in the end will wreck the flight sim entirely on Xbox since a sim like this continues breathing through continued 3rd party support. And there is no alternative on console. It will neither retain playerbase nor generate profit in the state it’s in.

Ah yeah, the marketplace… One year and still an absolute mess.

Well said. It wouldn’t be such a big deal if the default aircraft received support. But after seeing threads from a year ago showing the same bugs on many of the aircraft, no way I am touching the deluxe edition.
