Go on fly under these bridge you can do it. I know i did 2 days ago
I use also track ir opensource, and the fun with i found when flying around Los Angeles area. Between some Mountains i saw this crossroad bridge with different intersections coming together,(i can not recall how they name these things) but i decide to dive underneath it and it feit so immersive that i duck instantly while pulling up from the dive and in top window i saw some of this bridge thing. Futher down the road i tried the same when i seen this small fly-over and decide to go underneath, which would work if it was not for the truckdriver that came up ahead, the bugger damaged my landing gear and flight was instantly over which,
Reminding me of an old MOD song about Harry and how he got in his car and turned the key, starting up and heading down the L.A.i.
I believe he drove volkswagen rabbit and thats putting in to harry’s cheap habit.
He’s death now harry, hè cant Come back he would still be alive i he had drove a caddilac.
Im glad this is a simulator and can do this over and over again trying to learn from the mistakes i make.
In that case you don’t even need to write protect it. Just set the settings you want in the config file, making sure it is set to “Custom”, and you’re done.
Another way to think about it is if you are setting things by hand in the text file, why would you even visit the graphics options in the sim? You’ve already set what you want.
I don’t set the file to read only, and my custom settings remain. The trick is to not adjust settings via the GUI. I changed the scenery caching to Ultra, and the file was updated with the new setting, but my LOD 5 settings were still there, because I didn’t touch that particular slider.
