Is that for 2020 or 2024?
Yeah got the checking for updates screen again in UK. Same as last week - it will hang forver, you you might get the 1tb installation again, which means nowt and then get disconected. Yet another night of streaming lost. What an effing sh!t show.
23 min and still stuck on checking for updates.
2020 is stuck on checking for updates for me, 2024 works just fine.

After multiple attempts and waiting 10+ minutes on “Checking for Updates” I’m suddenly loading. Let’s see if I get into the sim or CTD (again, which would be about the 4th time).
It should! But will it?! I prefer not to risk it and kill it via Task Manager.
December 7, 2024 , same thing this morning. Can’t get past checking updates. This never happened before 2024 was released.

I just clicked on the online services category in the forums. that doesn’t specify which sim.
Why? That will just ensure the next time you try to load you’ll be faced with the Safe Mode dialog. Which I have tried this morning, by the way. Didn’t make a difference.
It’s as if we’re in some imaginary queue.

What did you do to get in?
I’m not concerned by a Safe Mode dialog. I am very much concerned with a multiple TB install by a sim that is clearly in a broken state.
