usual pattern is I do a career flight in the UK morning, no problem, but 1700 UTC I am staring at the loading screen ad nauseum. Unable to fly at all.
Happening every day
if you manage to get booted up, turn off Data to stop the cycle.
MSFS down for me too in UK - stuck on checking updates screen, this is really getting on my nerves now - Back to good old P3D.

This is getting to be a bit annoying. Microsoft needs to get their act together and fast. Been trying to fly for a few hours now stuck on the darn checking updates screen.
My MSFS won’t connect to the internet and now is stuck in updates. I had to reinstall the game, and still nothing.
Same here..stuck on “updates” ..cant even launch the sim. Im off AZURE EAST on east coast
When are these problems getting solved. It is really getting old to have these failures over and over again. This has been going on for the last weeks but now it looks indefinate.
Getting a refund for 2024 now and really thinking about quiting everything all togehther. I’m done.

I had a couple of those this morning too. I disabled Data services for now. All is good.
And yet all of the online status monitors say everything is fine. This is getting beyond stupid.
Maybe a warning banner on top of the forum pages would be appropriate?

No, what would be appropriate would be to restore the functionality that 2020 had before the launch of 2024.
I have loaded back in and online functionality seems to be working as normal.
Got me inside after 14 minutes. Showed installation manager pushed continue to the right installation folder that i had installed the sim and now is loading like nothing happened…
Haven’t played in two weeks, and now this? Now it’s either Amer Truck Sim or Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Time to flip a coin.
Why is the online status GREEN for god’s sake. Do these people know how to monitor cloud services? It’s 101 mandatory stuff for any cloud-based org.
Why is this important? I hunted around for 30 mins on my system yanking stuff from the community folder, rebooting and so on.
If the online status is ACCURATE then you manage your customer’s expectations and limit how much of their time you waste. Un-believable.

The problem is that this seems to happen more on weekends than any other time.
