Thanks,
MSFS Team

The engines shut down when I click Ready to Fly and I always start on the runway ready for takeoff.

It all feels very quiet regarding the 707, unless I’ve missed some posts elsewhere.

Is there any news on updates? Still waiting for the LE flaps and other bugs.

Does anyone have any idea whether or not any sort of update or mod will be forthcoming for the Aeroplane Heaven Famous Flyer 707, which might hopefully correct some or preferably all of its’ plethora of bugs, inaccuracies and problems?

Would love to see an update to the 707, nothing was said in the last dev stream though!

There was supposed to be an update or two at some point that would fix a bunch of bugs, add an FMS, and make the INS function. Dunno what happened, it’s been several months with no word at all. This seems to be the story with most of the planes Aeroplane Heaven produces though.

At the same time, though, you also have to consider that it appears to take several weeks for MS/Asobo to process additions to the Marketplace, including updates, so any update Aeroplane Heaven might put out will take a while to even show up.

In the meantime, among other things, we don’t have anyone on fs.to willing to make new liveries for the 707 because apparently, the way Aeroplane Heaven put it together, it’s a pain in the rear to get liveries to display correctly on the plane. Several existing liveries have visual errors because of this.

Can’t really taxi it that well at its slowest speed because it dose not want to turn

I think this aircraft would be much more enjoyable if they just fixed the minor bugs. Really frustrated with the current state of the aircraft given it hasn’t been fixed since released in MSFS 2020.

Agreed…ability to not taxi is a turnoff.

I fly it in MFS2024 online VATSIM every weeknight, twitch channel “daneflats” for months now, and I have a flightsim.to mod to fix the flaps. It’s a shame the plane was released before it was finished, and sad there have been no updates since, but I enjoy the subject matter, it being a iconic classic airliner. I hope they fix the bugs and include the INS navigattion system.

That is awesome. I love that “push through the nonsense” you’ve taken with it.

Aeroplane Heaven happened. This is what they do. Underdeliver, and (almost) never follow up.

I fly it a lot as well, it’s honestly pretty fun despite its problems.

Same, and I also have one that fixes some errors on the instrument panel and changes the fuel flow and fuel quantity gauges to display in lbs, the latter because I’m an American pleb, lol

Hey Dane, love watching your channel. Any work around to the taxi issue? I got the mods for the lbs on the fuel and spoilers myself.

I’m still waiting for an Omega Tanker livery, it’s the only currently flying 707 and nobody did it. (As far as I know).

I mentioned the liveries issue in my first post in this thread:

This is something else that Aeroplane Heaven would have to fix, if I understand that issue correctly.

thank you :blue_heart: the nose gear does not turn on the ground for me sadly

What’s interesting too is the amount of detail the plane has. For example, if it’s really cold outside and you fail to engage fuel heat, you’ll flame out. Also, if you forget to engage the hydro pumps, you wont have any brakes. The switches are not just eye candy with lights and sound effects. I do hope they finish the plane.

I haven’t yet gotten into a situation where I’ve needed fuel heat, didn’t know they had that modeled. The hydraulics, I think I knew about. Judging by everything else I’ve seen from Aeroplane Heaven, that’s kinda impressive.

One thing they don’t have modeled in the 707 that I wish they did: the real 707 had a little bit of wing flex, which this rendition doesn’t have, and to me it’s a bit weird seeing the wings in a flexed-upward position when I’m on the ground.

it’s funny you should mention that as I felt the same way but, I saw a stream when it was just released about a week after and the guy said the wing position on the ground was accurate and show several real life photos and blue prints as evidence. it might look odd but it’s correct
