yeah not a super high priority just yep i think they need to fix it lol, and also are the weather radars not working in all planes including the vision jet? because i can’t seem to find a plane that has weather radar right now haha
The weather radar scanning I haven’t checked, but adding the NEXRAD radar on the map definitely works.
I own the FlightFX 2020 version and in comparison the version shipping with 2024 is not as good / not as high fidelity.
Weather radar works in the vision (the actual one, not the nextrad) for me.
In what way?
Is there any way to reset the parachute other then reloading the flight?
Also, when deployed there is a texture bug in the front of the plane and you can see into the cabin from the outside.
Autoland Not Working (No Airports Found) - Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet
Hi everyone,
I’m having trouble getting the Autoland feature to work on the Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet in MSFS 2024. I’ve seen YouTubers successfully use it, but no matter what I try, it doesn’t work for me. It always shows “No Airports Found.”
Here’s what I’ve done to troubleshoot so far:
- Made sure I’m above FL110 (11,000 feet).
- Tried engaging Autoland both with autopilot on and off.
- Ensured I had an active flight plan loaded into the flight computer.
Despite this, it still doesn’t work. Is there something I might be missing? Any advice or steps that worked for you would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
ah i see, i might have to try that then, and @oellph9855 yeah i don’t fully understand what’s going on…like is the msfs 2024 version of the vision jet from the flight fx team, or is it from microsoft them selves, Asobo, whatever, or from another developer entirely orrr?? lol and whyyy lol that’s so crazy, maybe they made it that way because they want of course people to pay for the hard work they’ve done to the payware version (if it’s flight fx doing it) but, you would think, that kinda the whole thing, with them letting msfs 2024 include it for free as standard, that it would mean that they struck some kind of deal with microsoft or something, but, of course, maybe they came to an agreement of like, we’ll let you use some of it, but, the better version of it, we’ll keep for ourselves, and still work on that one, so that we can still keep getting paid from it too, and things like that, but yeah i’m not sure what’s going on honestly
and also on an unrelated note, does anybody know what the heck is going on with the Ai piloting not being in the game for 2024? i mean not autopilot, Ai piloting, like it used to be in msfs 2020, i liked it, even though sometimes it was terrible lol, because when it did work, it kinda let you be a passenger, and the plane took off by itself, flew itself, did all kinds of things by itself, and landed itself and even taxi’d itself to the gate or somewhere to park (sometimes of course it would mess up entirely lol and run off the runway lol but yeahhhh lol) and i cannottt find it in msfs 2024, idk if they plan to add it later, or if they ever do
also on anotherr unrelated note lol (i feel like uncle from jackie chan adventures…oneee moree thing! lol) it’s so frustrating to not have the weather on the globe when you’re trying to pick a flight plan, because it shows the clouds/weather when you’re at the main menu, but as soon as you click free flight, all the clouds go away, and maybe they did that to make it easier to see the places etc, but, msfs 2020 fixed that by just letting you zoom into the places and the clouds kinda becoming transparent..soo what the heck lol, it’s like i have to try to rotate the globe, and then back out kinda to the main menu, just to see different parts of the earth to see it’s weather in that area, and then click on the place that i think there’s like a storm in, to fly there lol, it’s not a crazy big deal, but, just yeah, lol
It would be under Aircraft Systems > Video > Video Settings but you can see it is greyed out.
How do you get a split map on the pfd?
Either press the checklist wheel/button to the far right below the PFD or press Split on the touch screen on the far left.
Speaking of checklist - is this implemented? Has anyone been able to pull it up?
If not, then I would really like to see it implemented ASAP.
All things considered, this is an exceptional default aircraft. Beautiful art and sounds and very few bugs. Most MSFS 2024 features are supported and the WT G3000 are awesome.
I have had several occurrences of the throttle just going to max out of nowhere. Especially right before Iand. Last time the flaps got set to -40, also out of the blue. Crashed and lost my mission cred… Is there some sort of system I should be aware of, or is this a bug?
Checklist doesn’t appear to be implemented. I popped over to the FlightFX discord thinking of asking but there are several posts saying it isn’t the place for support on the ‘Microsoft’ version of the VisionJet and to post here instead.
Now maybe I’m stupid but in the run up to launch it seemed like you were getting fhe complete product, and not a cut down Microsoft copy. It matters not to me personally. I still have access to the paid version that I bought back in January.
Hey guys, the Vision Jet in 2024 have some bugs. I’m trying to recopile the biggest ones.
-
Amps/Volts completely inestable that triggers the EMER BAT TAKEOFF warning on CAS. I noticed it happens mostly when Throttle is increased.
-
The LAND lights doesn’t work at all, and the NAV/STROBE doesn’t have any visual impact on the ground either.
-
When selecting an approach, the ILS frequency is not selected automatically.
-
In similar terms, the VLOC mode is not changed automatically from FMS/GPS source on final approach, you have to change it manually or gonna miss the Glide Slope.
-
Outside model have a huge gap inside the cabin, when looking from the front straight back. It’s like a window that goes through the engine.
-
In similar terms, when CAPS parachute is deployed, a massive model gap can be seeing on the parachute compartment.
-
AUTOLAND doesn’t work.
-
Additionally, some important systems are not simulated, like the ETS emergency button on the top panel, the FLAPS page in the MFD, the ability to adjust screens brightness, or the BACKUP SCREENS button.
I hope these bugs gets fixed and the aircraft is updated. Overall, it’s a great aircraft!!
What I couldn’t find is how to turn down the PFD and MFD backlight.
I went through all the menus several times. On the TBM930 it’s under aircraft configuration.
There seems to be no way to switch barometric pressure units to QNH. Depending on where you are flying in the world ATC will give it to you in QNH values.
It should be on PFD screen, under PDF Settings then down arrow a couple of times you should see “Baro Select Units”
I found these bug reports:
Vision Jet bugs - Bug Reporting Hub / Aircraft & Systems - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
But the author did not use the required template. I might create bug reports for each bug using the proper template later today, but feel free to add them if you have time.
Found this bug report on LOD issues: Cirrus Visionjet SF50 extended gear strut LOD model visible inflight - Bug Reporting Hub / Aircraft & Systems - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
But have created one dedicated to issues with the external model and cabin:
Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet: Gaps in external model LOD - Bug Reporting Hub / Aircraft & Systems - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
Already reported: Cirrus Vision Jet G2 - Landing/Taxi lights not producing light - Bug Reporting Hub / Aircraft & Systems - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
Already reported, but not a bug report: Autoland Not Working (No Airport Found) - Cirrus SF50 Vision Jet - User Support Hub / Aircraft & Systems - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums
I can split the EFI and Traffic or the EFI and Checklist, but this doesn’t pull up a map on the PFD. I can only do a map inset. Would be nice to split the map on the PFD since the camera on the vision jet sort of cuts off the co-pilot screen.
How do you do that?
Same here. I have no doubt that this is partially broken, not a dealbreaker by any means but I hope they address this.
