[MSFS2024] Pilatus PC-12 NGX

they added the missing prop sound.

especially unbelievable now that the game includes Lido charts which clearly state the correct transition for every departure and approach.

I believe that the wind vector indications are kinda off. In the PFD, is like 90Âș, but, in LNM, has more tail wind component. GS shown in the PFD seems reasonable compared with the GS vector displayed in LNM.

I don’t think anyone’s mentioned the displays need a major re-work! Comparing them to the real thing, the whole interface appears outdated. Maybe it’s the choice of pale colours and the fonts. Especially the white text mixed with the pale green. Apologies if it’s already been mentioned, I did scroll through the thread but couldn’t see it brought up. There also seems to be a few buttons that aren’t functional. Overall though the aircraft flies really well. It’s just a shame about the interfaces.

I’m not certain as to whether the MSFS2024 ATC is used for Career Mode flights or whether that has its own ATC that interfaces with the MSFS ATC, but either way, I’m not aware of any transition levels in Europe that are higher than 12,000ft.

tbh Career seems to be using its own version of lots of things, given how differently some planes behave between Career and Free Flight. for instance, in Career mode the Cessna 208b almost always attempts to kill you on landing with a savage yaw to the left and a wing drop. this simply doesn’t happen in Free Flight, hence the conclusion that there are two separate codebases – obviously a terrible idea but not at all impossible.

I should also add the plane pulls quite a bit whilst taxiing with zero power added and can only be controlled by taxiing with brakes on the whole time.

or using the “beta”.

By the way is it possible to dim the panel lightning,
I fear that I will have to land on a dark airport at the end of my cargo mission

Had a first look at this plane today. Didn’t have long to get into the avionics much, but found a bunch of typos/errors on the cockpit text when I had a good look around. May well have missed some:

  • ‘Maximun’
  • 3x entries with degrees expressed with ‘O’ instead of °

Checklist calls for generator ‘ON’ while the text below says it must be OFF:

  • Plackard - with a ‘k’
  • ‘spin’ should be ‘spins’

We also have a mix of US English with “maneuvers” and UK English with “centre” on the first screenshot.

  • Too many 'r’s in 'interrrupt x2

Not very important, but once you’ve seen them

“Measure twice, cut once” comes to mind, as even if these are relatively easy to fix, it’s still going to cost way more time than it would have done to just get it right first time.

It just comes across as poor attention to detail, which you would hope wouldn’t be a failing in an organisation(s) developing such complex machinery.

Just more evidence that the whole sim development was a real “rush job”. :frowning:

Similar issues in 2020 as well. I suspect it has to do with Magnetic Variation. Since the angle it is off with seems to correspond with the MV of the area I fly in.

is it possible to insert speed/altitute constraints into the flightplan using the MFD?

none of these options seem to do the trick.

yes! click “cross
”

This, sort of.
The cross gives you the dialog that let’s you enter crossing restrictions.

However, the TSC won’t popup the keyboard so you can’t actually enter values.

Created a bug report for that issue as it is pretty serious

I think it’s more a bug. Here, there is a difference of almost 180Âș!

Same here but you can use your own keyboard pushing the little keyboard icon on that window until it gets magenta. Then you can use your keyboard
