Multi Monitor Support For Sim Pit Builders

Great idea, unfortunately I don’t have room to have my 75" screens all in a line!

Hi. Did you ever find a solution to saving your popped out instruments on external monitors? Thx

Nope.
I popup them any flights

Same here, and it`s very annoying

VR is VR ok, im coming from xplane with 3 monitors , i have buy Flly-elise before than xplane update beziel correction.

You never have depth in multiscreen, and as I am a helicopter pilot the VR is impeccable.

But, the resolution, clarity, and smooth windowing in multiscreen still draws me in,
I hesitate between ultrawide G9 or 3x 34inch with Fly-elise

Do you have a small video of how you set up Fly-Elise?

Are you satisfied or are there any constraints?

I do, but my set up is using projectors and a curved screen, not multiple LCD panels. The Fly-Elise solutions are different for each type. But in case it’s useful… https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/uvHEDmdxXCE I have two other videos along the same lines with slightly different techniques in each.

question for you do you find the desktop text hard to read?
i have 3 projectors on a 270 screen and after the using blending the text isn’t that clear…

i am using simwarp which is a branded version of fly elise.

ps i didnt know post blending going to give that ago to fix some of the issues

Hi. To be completely honest with you, I haven’t had the sim installed since the Alpha. As long as it doesn’t support multiple view frustums across multiple independent displays, it’s no good to me. I’m not willing to put up with stretched sides or faulty perspective. When FlyElise NG properly supports the sim (ie when there is sufficient multiple view support for Immersive Calibration Pro to work) then I’ll try again.

But blurry text is a symptom of warping across projectors generally. Depending on where on the screen you’re looking, you will have either more ‘real’ projector pixels than ‘virtual’ pixels on the warped image, or fewer., because the image is squeezed and stretched to fit the curve. When you have more, you get blurring because each projector pixel represents several PC pixels. Fly Elise (and I assume SimWarp) lets you apply AA via your GPU to the output, that might help. But a warped projector image will never be as sharp as an unwarped monitor. This is why I hope to be able to afford 4K projectors one day

This thread is painful to read - supporting multiple view frustrums is a fairly trivial extension from supporting one view frustrum but it gets increasingly complicated as the product expands. I’m guessing most of Asobo’s work will be in the UI/settings - they made a mistake not doing something so basic in their initial build. To be fair to Asobo there was a lot more noise for VR than multi-screen after the initial launch and they delivered on that (although users will always want more).

Asobo are probably were more concerned with releasing MSFS on Xbox and diverted significant resources from other tasks to get it out the door. But now Xbox has a release date maybe they can divert those resources back to other items like multiple monitor support , replay and the other items that were out of the box in previous versions.

When they said ‘2021-2022’ as a timeframe I automatically assumed that would mean end-2022 at the earliest. I’m a software developer so I know how they think

Hopefully multiple monitors functionality will solve the blurry lights / bloated light orbs that plague wide-screen as mentioned in another post

Hi there
does anybody have setup the new feature using fly elise immersive display pro and could share his setup/configuration? I can’t find anything on the net. For P3D it was quite easy to setup and store files in the correct folder which were created by fly elise, but in MSFS2020 there is nothing comparable to setup. Any ideas around here?

Kind regards
Stefan

It does nor support MSFS ….

I can‘t find a way to save camera positions in cockpit. If i do it the way like in SU9 it doesn‘t remember the saving
