New Release: Just Flight PA-28R Turbo Arrow III/IV

Thanks Jetwash, I do appreciate your feedback. Real PA-28 experience is as good as it gets. My real GA flights are limited to C172 Skyhawks, but I don’t recall the wind noises being this loud.

I’m thinking the wind noises on this plane are a little more pronounced than all the other sim GA planes I fly and possibly my sound system is exasperating it. My sound settings in the sim are all where I want them to be. Many of you have said the sound is fine so I’m thinking it must just be me being fussy.

Thanks everybody for your input.

Good points, I checked them all out. Thanks.

To be honest sim wind sound in many aircraft tend to be too quiet compared to real life flying in a typical GA aircraft with your headphones off, though you never actually fly with headphones off. Why would you?

Back in the day, before intercoms…
Or when the intercom was a tube, and you wanted to say you couldn’t hear your instructor…
Or you were afraid your instructor was going to blow your ears out for what you just did…

But, yeah, I always thought that about people complaining about the sounds…

I updated this today (MSFS Store) and flew. After landing when I turned off the power tablet disappeared. Did someone have same experience?

I’m on Xbox and the Nav and Omni options for navigation plays up. Sometimes the plane follows the flight plan but I’m having to basically fly using heading mode. Some sort of bug while loading or is there a workaround?

Try pressing the CDI button a few times on the GPS. Also make sure you aren’t too far deviated from the Magenta line if you’re flying GPS. It should pick it up but sometimes a bit hit and miss.

If your still having problems I’ll try this end but I flew a couple of days ago without problems.

A few things:

  • double check the CDI has in fact selected GPS and not something else like nav1

  • The autopilot on the arrows has always required you be reasonably close to the magenta line and point in the right direction for nav mode to engage successfully

  • state saving has been known to cause weird things to happen if you were not able to switch off the AP and avionics before exiting the previous session

  • occasionally the AP does not seem to register you have “reached” the starting point and will try and backtrack and return you to your departure airfield

The left red circle I switch to the up position. The right red circle looks to have to be in the down position, sometimes looks like you have to switch it up and down a few times to engage properly. From what I interpreted, there’s meant to be a click spot on one of the yellow circled knobs but only if you have the GNS 430/530 Garmin installed. I can only work with the stock GNS 100 being on Xbox that I know of. Are you and @EdamllamaB on Xbox? The problem seems to have worked itself out but just like other aircraft I’ve experienced, STARS prove to be hit and miss with this also. It’s gotta be a sim problem and not the planes fault.

Less likely if you did reinstall and many flights, but are you sure doors are properly secured? If one of the latches is not engaged, door will not be fully closed and sound/wind inside/outside will be exactly as you describe.

And, btw, in real life, too :flushed:

(not that I’ve ever thought I had it latched but didn’t really…)

I have just purchased this on Xbox i have ran through checklist and manuals but I am having an issue with keeping battery charged I have alternator switch is on and keeping throttle up enough to charge but light comes on and battery dies?

Edit; I just reinstalled and it’s fixed it

I’m not sure if this is what happened to you, but, whenever you install anything, make sure to exit MSFS and restart the sim. Even better if you reboot your Xbox in between to make sure they cache is cleared.

While playing after an install may work, it’s very likely you’ll run into issues. For whatever reason, MSFS does not properly set everything if you play without restarting after installing anything.

Cheers I will keep it mind I will clear the cache when I’m next on.Thanks👍

You’ll need to do more than clear the cache. You have to, however you do it on Xbox, reload MSFS from scratch. If Xbox lets you quit MSFS, then clearing cache might be enough.

The main point is, after you install a package, MSFS doesn’t do everything right in loading them. You have to quit and reload MSFS completely from scratch.

Well, assuming you’d rather not risk having issues until you do.

Yeah it’s happened to me again this aircraft just won’t charge the battery everything else is fine.I have cleared the cache also I don’t have a rolling msfs cache on.

Werid after reinstall it worked one flight also tried state saving off

Especially now with WASM on Xbox, I fully shut down MADS on console Home Screen and reboot.

Even then have had to delete and reinstall the add-on for WASM reboot and try sim again.

Ok finally found the real problem it was my TCA quadrant engine start switch i just had to unmap it. It kept engaging the starter draining battery or distruping the alt. As there was no sfx I couldn’t hear it engaging

Sorry if this has been already asked are the Xbox versions of the arrows up to date with pc version?

That’s weird. It works perfectly well on mine, with no additional battery drain!
